Hypocrisy, thy name is Howard. The former Dem prez candidate is predictably all good with NBA players wearing "I Can't Breathe" t-shirts.
But what, posited Joe Scarborough on today's Morning Joe, if other players wore "Abortion is Murder" shirts? Dean claimed that's "not exactly the same" and is "a different kind of debate." Why? Because, according to Dean, "the survival of our country depends" on resolving the police/black men issue. You really want to talk about "survival," Dr. Dean, when tens of millions have not survived since Roe v. Wade?

It was being reported that they broke his neck.
If I hold up a store and the cashier has a heart attack while i’m holding him up they will charge me with at least manslaughter.
What is truly sad is that they really don't give a darn about Martin, Brown or Garner. The majority just are using them as an excuse to act out.
The eggshell rule does not apply when the actor is doing something he is supposed to be doing, like arresting a law-breaker.
Eric Garner's autopsy "showed no damage to Garners windpipe or neck bones".
He died "thanks to acute and chronic bronchial asthma, obesity, and heart disease", and because he chose to resist being subdued by police, with the struggle triggering the conditions which caused his death.
How’s about one saying “I never got a chance to breathe”?
Right, because the death was A RESULT OF YOUR COMMITTING A CRIME. The police were not committing a crime. the dead guy was committing a crime. The police were just trying to arrest him.
Mind if I sit here?
Not saying it’s the case here, but would you count “Murder under color of authority” as a crime?
How about the IRS seizing your bank account with no charges or accusations?
“I vas yust followink odors” didn’t work at the Nuremberg Trials for a reason.
Reason...Rational Thought is not appropriate when formulating bogus claims..nor incendiary nonsense.
Air VIbrates the vocal cords...those who cant breathe ...be they black ...or white....dont have ACCESS to an ingredient necessary FOR speech.
all these bozos wearing “I cant Breathe” Shirts...and carrying “I cant Breathe” placards give marvelous evidence of the INFANTILE PLAGUE thats taken hold of America.
Interesting point, but of course there are limits on permissible force when arresting lawbreakers, and if inappropriate force is used, I believe the eggshell rule could come into effect.
Aborted black babies NEVER get a chance to breathe.

Oh, for someone to have the guts to wear that shirt. Great line.
And in a blue state, one of the bluest in New York. Imagine how much worse the reaction would be if that had happened in Alabama or Mississippi.
No word on whether thier was a black female commander present at the time who would have given the order to take him down, oh I forgot, that doesnt matter the cop was white thats what matters
From reports, he had a string of prior arrests. I watched the video. Rather than peacefully submit, he chose to struggle and resist being cuffed.
When a cop decides to arrest you, the prudent action is to come along and sue his ass off later if the arrest was improper.
I Want to Breathe T SHIRTS !! (with a fetus picture)
I LOVE IT!
Would you count Murder under color of authority as a crime?

Yep, the eggshell skull rule...also a big deal in torts law, which is why the NYPD and Pantaleo should expect to be paying Eric Garner’s family a lot of money soon.
But the officer here was at least arguably doing something that per departmental policy he shouldn’t be doing — a chokehold — in which case he exceeded the bounds of his authority and it may apply. Jury call, I suppose, to determine if that was a chokehold against policy...
