He didn't have a weapon, he had a toy. What was illegal in that? And as video of the incident have shown, within two or three seconds of arriving the kid was dead so why didn't the officer even take the time assess the situation?

He assessed the situation. He say a kid with a firearm without the orange end on it to indicate it was a toy. Any longer than that could have resulted in him or someone taking a slug.

Perhaps Baby Mommas ought to teach their spawn if they don't want to get shot don't go into public places acting as if you have a real firearm for the cheap thrill of scaring people.

““3 Cops stand by as teen with gun shoots innocent bystander”

..

That would give the cop haters ammo for a few of the tedious anti-police jokes.

You will never get some to see how out of control LE has become. Always remember their attitude to the shooting of 3 innocent people in the Dorner hunt.

Obviously this is getting lot of play in the Orlando media. There’s an on-camera clip of the guy claiming they had their hands up but he says he saw this from his 2nd floor window. That immediately brings to mind:

Vinny Gambini: Mr. Crane, what are these pictures of?

Ernie Crane: My house and stuff.

Vinny Gambini: House and stuff. And what is this brown stuff on your window.

Ernie Crane: Dirt.

Vinny Gambini: Dirt. And what is this rusty, dusty, dirty looking thing that’s covering your window?

Ernie Crane: That’s a screen.

Vinny Gambini: A screen! It’s a screen. And what are these really big things that are right in the middle of your view of the Sac-o-Suds and your kitchen window, what do we call these big things?

Ernie Crane: Trees?

Vinny Gambini: Trees, that’s right, don’t be afraid just shout ‘em right out when you know ‘em. And what are these thousands of little things that are on trees?

Ernie Crane: Leaves.

Vinny Gambini: And these big bushy things between the trees.

Ernie Crane: Bushes.

Ernie Crane: Bushes. So, Mr. Crane, you can positively identify the defendants, for a moment of 2 seconds, looking through this dirty window, this crud covered screen, all of these trees, with all of these leaves on them, and I don’t know how many bushes.

Ernie Crane: Looks like five.

Vinny Gambini: Uh, uh, uh, don’t forget, this one and this one.

Ernie Crane: Seven bushes!

Vinny Gambini: Seven bushes. So, what do you think? Isn’t possible you just saw two guys in a green convertable and not necessarily these two particular guys?

Ernie Crane: I suppose.

Vinny Gambini: I’m finished with this guy.

Every black man shot by a white PO had his hands up. They walk around with their hands up.

“That 12 year old in Cleveland. That guy in the Ohio Walmart. That guy the police shot in the stairwell in New York. There are, unfortunately, too many examples.”

I think you’re right. I don’t believe it is particularly racially motivated, but I do think the police are rather trigger-happy, and start shooting without adequate justification, too often. Nervous types shouldn’t be doing that job. Soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan have stricter rules of engagement than the police seemingly do.

” They used to hang horse thieves.”

My grandfather owned a horse ranch many years ago. Stealing a horse then, was tantamount to stealing food off the dinner table. Screw em, and hang em high!

I hope the outside agitators don’t come here for a winter protest.

This is just ‘step 3’ of the master plan. Step one was Ferguson, two NY,
They will show up in ‘your’ neighborhood as a reward from hanging in there in the Cold Rain of Missouri, the snow in Wisconsin the hustle of NY, now they will transport them to sunny climes. BEATS WORKING.

Remember, it is hard to be on Govt/Police side on this since THEY allowed this crap to get out of hand. Once ‘they’ left the ‘Safety Zone’ of FERGUSON MO they should have been handled swiftly. Now we have crap going on across the country and the only thing that will slow it down is mass retaliation which will only lead to more of this BS.
This fiasco seems as well planned as the spontaneous ‘Wall Street..(whatever they were called’.
Think of WS just being a tune up to see how much ‘they could get away with and where. Once that was established, they now know where to go to get the most effect - AGAIN the ‘establishment’ duping the Blacks into doing their heavy lifting.....think Vietnam and all the COMBINED White and Black dissenters UNTIL the Draft was repealed and the rich White Boys went home and left the Black on their own..

I realize there is a lot of cynicism and sarcasm in this post but I don’t think I am to far off.....

I was being ‘nice’ with that ‘headline’...we know it would have been a whole lot worse than that.

When I got out of the Navy in the ‘60s one of my stops was Virginia State Police... I didn’t even get to the ‘recruiting’ phase, I was a ‘skinny’ 24 yo 6’ 150 pounds, (Up from the 5’9” 130 eight short years earlier) and the Trooper at the local barracks told me not to even waste my time and money on stamp etc...

Told me I was way to thin and even if I were to rush out and try to put more weight on, it had to be proportionate.

Today I could find MANY,MANY forms of discrimination to ‘sue’ him with <: <:

Once the Police became negotiators, crossing guards, security guards etc AND standards - Moral and Physical - were lowered to accommodate every race, gender and creed things started going downhill.

I remember during Columbine and VA Tech with the cops all standing outside the building ‘waiting’ for something.

Right wrong or indifferent, those of us that were around during the 50s and 60s know that COPS would have stormed the building and tried to get the kids out safely.
BUT protocol etc forced them to stand their ground...And yes, I realize that there were probably more than a few of the Cops that thought the idea stunk of NOT taking the lead.
