The seemingly wonky legislative language in that relevant section reads:
None of the funds appropriated in this Act shall be expended or obligated by the Commissioner of Social Security, for purposes of administering Social Security benefit payments under title II of the Social Security Act, to process any claim for credit for a quarter of coverage based on work performed under a social security account number that is not the claimant’s number and the performance of such work under such number has formed the basis for a conviction of the claimant of a violation of section 208(a)(6) or (7) of the Social Security Act.
Right after Obama’s executive amnesty announcement, the White House confirmed to the Washington Post that illegal aliens who get amnesty from Obama—paid for by Boehner, and any Republican who votes for this omnibus bill—will have access to Social Security benefits.
By not including language saying that Social Security benefits can’t go to illegal aliens under the executive amnesty—just as they didn’t include language going after funding for the implementation of the executive amnesty itself—Republicans are completely surrendering, ensuring that millions of illegal aliens will get Social Security. “Absent from this conversation is the reality that the Obama amnesty program requires departments and agencies throughout the whole government to implement,” a congressional GOP aide familiar with the legislation said in an email to Breitbart News. “By doing a long-term omnibus with Reid, instead of a short-term Continuing Resolution until January, Republicans are giving up all kinds of avenues for undoing the amnesty. A big one of those is the Social Security element. Appropriators made a decision not to include language in this section denying social security cards to those receiving SSN’s under the Obama amnesty regime, thereby allowing them to be sent out.”

I think if they worked and contributed to SS they should get the usual benefits later on. Very few will get SS Disability — too many hours required.

This is pretty much what I expected but I had to give the GOP one more chance. That’s it for me.
So the chicken-$h!t SS payments that the retired get today will be reduced to essentially zero to pay the people who never paid into the system at all.
Actually, once the amnesty or whatever is in place THEN they get a work permit, Social Security #, green card or whatever, they should be eligible to partake just as if they were giving to a retirement fund.
I am not sure how the survivor ‘benefits’ work with people with little or NO money in the fund -especially ‘criminals’ paying their offshoots till 18 or so?
I thought SS payments were based on what you had donated into the fund. Seem to remember that people may retire say from the Govt, get a job at a hardware store and work long enough to receive the proper amount of ‘quarters’ to draw from SS also. We all know that was/is not the reasoning behind SS.
Also, ANY moneys that were put into SS PRIOR them becoming somewhat legitimate would be forfeited.
They should have a ‘reasonable’ time to register (say 6months) and if you are at least not in the process phase, it should be pack you your family and go south. Boarder baby or not. You had SIX MONTHS to make it right.
Guess I am figuring “WE” are going to lose this fight may as well get some benefits out of it.
Seem to remember back when RR granted amnesty one of the ‘bennies’ to the GOVT was the people who were ‘working’ jobs getting paid by check etc the taxes and FICA were coming out but in reality it was forfeited because most of them were afraid of being discovered to be illegal. The pols particular loved the ‘free money’ going into their slush fund...

If it’s any consolation, they will have to pay in the minimum “quarters” to be eligible as well. When you are very young it doesn’t take long to qualify (only a couple of years), but after 40 you have to pay if for something like 10 years to qualify.
It is no consolation. They should be arrested, deported and have all assets seized. No quarter to these illegal alien invaders.
I agree with you. I guess at my age, I am hoping I won’t see the total travesty the country will become.
Sad thing is that very few of us stood up against this. I always will pray it isn’t too late, but that would probably be me whistling past the graveyard that was once my country, the USA.
I did the same. Giving up is not a pleasing thing to do. I guess we went wrong thinking we could save this country at the polls.
What is the point of even voting anymore? Some days I just cannot fathom that our constitution has actually been reduced to detritus in just 6 years.
Oh I drove around the ba$turd’s district and saw all the huge green signs. He managed to have three opponents in primary all claiming to have Tea Party sympathies (lies). So that vote split badly and he walked in. It is a safe GOP district. Very rural. Sickening.
But all those coming in in 2014, fresh off an election do not have to vote for him as Speaker.
