Atthar Mirza and Elizabeth Ballou — second and third-year College students, respectively — released a self-made video Thursday evening thanking Jackie for telling her story and offering support for sexual assault survivors in the University community. Jackie, a University student, told Rolling Stone magazine seven men — one of whom she worked with as a lifeguard at the Aquatic and Fitness Center — raped her at a Phi Kappa Psi fraternity party on September 28, 2012.

“I felt people were fixating on the details and quality of Rolling Stone reporting, and the fact is, whatever happened, something happened to Jackie,” Mirza said. “And even if she made up the story, things like this do happen, and there are sexual assaults that don’t get reported, so I meant to bring the focus back to Jackie. Whatever comes of this, we’re still behind her and we still think she did something brave by coming forward.”

Story out yesterday that college women are 25% LESS likely to be victims of sexual assault than women not in college.
Interesting that in the post-feminist world the college-types are so fixated on being victims. This is likely because most lesbians are victims of sexual assault, which creates the mental disease of homosexuality.
Translation: “The facts don’t matter, it’s the seriousness of the accusation. Get on with the show trial to make an example for others.”
What is it with libs and fake rape stories? And by the way, who runs the majority of Universities today? LIBERALS. So what are they saying, they don’t like how liberals run colleges today? This is just like the current cop protests today, they are protesting the cops in New York city. Excuse me but NYC is run 100% by liberals who demand the cops go out and act like tax agents, arresting anyone who sells illegal cigarettes. The guy who died Eric Garner, they had FOUR cops arresting him for selling ONE cigarette, what kind of crap is that? Cops do what they are told, WHO is telling them to act as the Gestapo when it comes to taxes? LIBERALS. And by the way: Why is nobody pointing out the fact that Garner was a walking heart attack who had diabetes and heart problems? ANYTHING could have killed the guy.

Does anyone have to repair the damage to the fraternity house caused by the mobs? Is Ms. Sullivan ever going to apologize for her or The University's mistakes. Is the damage to the reputation of these fraternity members to be remedied?

The crazy part of this is that she was attending rallies at UVA and retelling this horrific tale. And none of the adults or advocates ever thought of contacting the police. Instead they introduced Jackie to an unscrupulous, agenda driven news reporter. Did anyone who attended these rallies ever once think that wow if this story is true then the people who did this should be in jail. Did anyone ever think; “Let’s contact the police.”?

It's a very good piece. I'm wondering what's going to happen to the author. She writes the very popular (among Slate readers) "agony aunt" column "Dear Prudence", and she's just demolished a liberal shibboleth, not necessary a good job move in journalism.
This is what you get when you have colleges promoting free and unencumbered sex with anyone and anything that moves, and when you teach students that nothing is right or wrong, and that the values they learned from their parents are all wrong.
It appears the Jackie has wrongly accused one fraternity.
It is important to understand that this may be worse than the rape itself.
It damages credibility of real rape victims and it does incredible damage to innocent men. And these idiots support the false accusation.
If liberal women are so afraid of being victims, they should support a return to the past when unmarried men and women were not allowed to be alone together. Women would not go out alone after dark, and in some societies, young women could not go out on a date without a chaperone. I’m an old fogey, but women were safer in the days when men and women lived in separate dorms, men were not allowed in the women’s dorm rooms, and women were not allowed upstairs in frat houses.
Feminists, you can’t have it both ways. Either women are equal to men in every way and strong enough to hold their own or they are faint flowers who must be protected from those awful, predatory males.
There have been a few real rapes and murders of women at UVA and in Chartlottesville the past couple of years. The attackers are serial rapist and murders, not college students and have been caught by the police. This should be the only story being told and the only story that needs to be told.

As a once proud Wahoo I agree Ms. Sullivan is a vapid, fatuous fool. I can only hope she is terminated since almost being fired two years ago. She is on very thin ice now.
This is like Kymer Rouge, or Maoism. All this self criticism flooding our society. Young people literally standing there saying they realize that they are racist in their rotten core no matter how much they hate the idea of it. And if you don’t engage in the self criticism, you are seen as a counter revolutionary.

All i can say is if i saw my daughter saying such things in the video, all financial assistance would immediately cease. Such sentiments rarely come from those who have to be at work all day. Somewhere, a parent is paying for this foolishness.
And the lie goes on. Won’t be long now until a male will be arrested for simply appearing in public. In case no one has noticed we have moved to the matriarchal society.
