Sen. Feinstein has opened Pandora's Box for the Democrats
American Thinker ^ | 12/12/2014 | Thomas Lifson

The Democratic Party is well on the way to restoring its reputation as weak on national security, not to be trusted with the nation’s safety.  Senator Dianne Feinstein and the Democrat majority on the Senate Intelligence Committee who insisted on releasing their partisan report on CIA enhanced interrogation techniques (sometimes known as “torture”) have opened a Pandora’s Box.

Writing at Ricochet, Herbert Meyer, recipient of the nation’s highest intelligence medal for civilians, outlines in stark terms the sort of dilemma Feinstein’s report sets up for Democrats:

Let’s use what’s called the Ticking-Time-Bomb scenario to illustrate this point:

A terrorist group announces that it’s placed a nuclear device somewhere in San Francisco. They say it will detonate in 72 hours. The senior senator from California — that would be Dianne Feinstein, outgoing chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee and the former mayor of San Francisco — urges residents of her home town to remain calm and not panic. The senator adds that while her thoughts and prayers are with the people of San Francisco, she will remain at her post in Washington DC, about 2,000 miles away from the likely blast radius.

The next day CIA undercover agents in Yemen capture one of the terrorists. They ask him, politely, to tell them where the bomb is located. The terrorist remains silent. “Please tell us,” one of the CIA agents begs. “Surely you don’t want to turn one of the world’s most beautiful cities into a pile of radioactive rubble.” The terrorist replies, “Allahu Akbar, God is Great, Americans must die.”

Okay, Senator, at this point what do you want the CIA to do with this terrorist? Please don’t tell us — yet again — what you don’t want our agents to do. Tell us what you want them to do.

“Don’t piss off your spooks” is generally an A#1 rule for politicians. Spoooks know where all the bodies are buried. And they tend to have very strong revenge drives.

I hope they do.

This type of thing is supposed to be a state secret.

To blow the cover on it, just to impress some dopy leftists, will endanger Americans (especially CIA operatives) all over the planet.

With all the senate seats up for grabs in ‘16, the gop-e better watch itself during the next 2 years or we just may find ourselves worse off that we are now. The supposed “crushing defeat” over the dhimmiokkrat could come back to bite us big time.

Generally, I think there is a bigger problem. If the Brussels War Crimes folks want to open a trial...is the Senator prepared to hand people over. Once you started this mess....surely it would have been discussed over the end-result. What US law will you arrest the guy and send them off for war crimes stuff? Willing to arrest Bush as well?

Democrats are for tearing unborn babies apart, not water torturing terrorists that want to kill each and every American!

So 57 House DemocRATs FIRST VOTED TO SHUT DOWN THE GOVERNMENT by VOTING AGAINST THE RULE, VOTING AGAINST bringing up the final vote on the omnibus bill.
BUT THEN LATER … VOTED FOR keeping the government open by voting FOR "controversial financial and political campaign provisions" by VOTING FOR 'CROMNIBUS' (Continuing Resolution Omnibus Budget bill).

So they voted Against the 'CROMNIBUS' BEFORE they voted FOR the 'CROMNIBUS' ?
Were they SCHOOLED BY ALGORE 's politics ?

Just ask JFK.

I was thinking this morning about a scenario where she might be kidnapped, taken for rendition and dumped in some third world hell hole. Just a dream.

The big question is: "Would anyone miss this bitch?"

As to your question...

Who would join the CIA now, knowing your own government doesn’t have your back?

And what foreign power or individual would agree to help the CIA knowing that they would be outed by corruptocrats in the future?

While Difiswine and McAinal display their public crocodile tears, their best buddies, the Islamic Jihadist terrorists kill more and more innocent people.

Jihadism: Tracking a month of deadly attacks
BBC News ^ | 10 December 2014 | Christine Jeavans, Nassos Stylianou

Jihadist attacks killed more than 5,000 people in just one month, an investigation by the BBC World Service and King’s College London has found.

Civilians bore the brunt of the violence, with more than 2,000 killed in reported jihadist incidents during November 2014. Islamic State carried out the most attacks, adding to the spiralling death toll in Iraq and Syria. Explore the map to find out more.

The data gathered by the BBC found that 5,042 people were killed in 664 jihadist attacks across 14 countries - a daily average of 168 deaths, or seven every hour.

About 80% of the deaths came in just four countries - Iraq, Nigeria, Syria and Afghanistan, according to the study of media and civil society reports.

Iraq was the most dangerous place to be, with 1,770 deaths in 233 attacks, ranging from shootings to suicide bombings.

In Nigeria, 786 people, almost all of them civilians, were killed in 27 Boko Haram incidents. These tended to be large and indiscriminate bombings and shootings such as the attack on the central mosque in the northern city of Kano, which left 120 dead.

Boko Haram also struck over the border in Cameroon, killing 15 people. Meanwhile, in East Africa, al-Shabab took 266 lives in Somalia and Kenya.

Afghanistan suffered almost the same number of deaths as Nigeria (782) but they tended to be in smaller, targeted attacks, such as the shooting of the deputy governor of Kandahar.

In war-ravaged Syria, 693 people were killed; Yemen had 410 deaths in 37 attacks.

Of the 16 jihadist groups involved in the bloodshed, Islamic State was the most deadly, killing 2,206 people across Iraq and Syria - 44% of the total death toll.

Maybe a non-nuke missile warning shot very close to where the muzzies gather in mecca. Talk or next is a fuel air bomb that takes out the place.

The “spooks” today do not share the same mentality and ferocity as Cold War “spooks”. Feinstein understands this and will probably sleep soundly at night.
