I think you underestimate the trouble a mayor who has lost the confidence of his police force is in. That's almost insurmountable in any city anywhere in the country.
As far as I’m concerned, this is blood on the hands of de Blasio. “Hey de Blasio, you are a piece of shit!”

These cop murders happened a dozen miles to the east of me; DeBlasio’s opponent (a liberal RINO) tried the law-and-order scare tactics and failed miserably.
NYC has the mayor its voters wanted; they still want him. In “America”, cops are part of the larger community; in NYC many don’t live in the city once they can escape. Liberals have successfully separated the police form the administration; they loathe one, while loving the other. When you see those large demonstrations in NYC, you may assume many of those people are voters there.
It's a disgrace and an outrage that it ever began.

Blasio got very lucky, it was a fluke.
Does there exist a way to remove this evil Communist from office? Can he be impeached, or are the the citizens of NYC “STUCK” with this Red gasbag for the remainder of his term?

IIRC the turnout for the mayors’ race was ridiculously low...he seems to have won the hardcore Communist vote. If normal people had been voting it might have made a difference!

I just read the same thing, it was about 22%. Unfortunately, it looks like NYC does not have recall laws, according ballotpedia. Bummer.
Omg. I'll bet they wanted to soooooo bad but had to restrain themselves. I'll bet they despise that man right now.
There are a good number of people in this nation that do not realize that it was not only white flight that killed Detroit. Hard working blacks fled as well.
I call it, “Productive Flight.”
