Living in Californicator land can be distressing, however Washingtongone and Oregone are both controlled by left wing fascists’s whose religion is based on green bs.

The reality is these two lost states entered the non America left wing fascist statehood close to two decades ago.

I moved back to Phoenix this fall. I was thrilled to come back to wide, clean streets with little traffic, low gas prices and new, well-kept buildings.

Shhhhhh! We don't want the Californians to find out! :)

How do these pinko leftists justify watching that sort of thing?

It's their thuggish, unemployable voter base that watches - you know, the 300 pound "ethnic" guys wearing the Marshawn Lynch jerseys that you see at Walmart using EBT cards to buy 24-packs of Dos Equis on game days. :)

Two words...

Border control.

“I’m sorry sir. You’ll have to turn around and go back. We don’t allow folks from your state in our state. Officer Smith here will help you with your u-turn.”

It would be a blessing to everyone if LIBs remained where they live so that the rest of us can avoid them . Unfortunately, these malignant societal termites often migrate, bringing their distorted, degenerate leftist ideas with them. LIBs are mentally disturbed. They are best observed for a laugh from a distance. Have a Merry Christmas!

You think that the State of Washington will go the same way as California? The California debt is spiraling out of control. So, unless and until the citizens of the State of Washington have a suicide pact with California, the voters of that state had better start doing some very heavy thinking.

Washington is my utopia. But then I moved from the Philadelphia suburbs. No income taxes, ($4000 savings), car and home insurance cut in half, ($2000 savings), property taxes cut in half ($3000 savings), and the cheapest electricity in 50 states. I live on the East side, (the Right side) of the state and it is more libertarian than anything else, (no car inspection sticker? really?). The weather is nice, too.

Unfortunately, the People’s Marxist Republic of Illinois isn’t any better.

You have my sympathy.

The Socialist Democratic Peoples Republic of Maryland isn't too far behind Washington or Illinois. In some aspects we may be ahead.

I agree that the liberals are ruining the state of Washington. But let’s not be too quick to blame this on Californians. In 1988 both WA and OR voted for Dukakis as CA voted GOP for the last time in a presidential election. This indicates to me that there were plenty of liberals in the Pacific Northwest (specifically WA and OR) for quite some time.

It is true that many Californians and businesses are fleeing this high tax and anti-business state, but they are fleeing from liberal policies for the most part.

“With 60 percent of the state’s population, the greater Seattle area now outvotes the rural, conservative areas in the rest of the state.”

This is the problem in every state. The political map of the U.S., as shown on FR many times, is blood red, except for the major cities. The big cities are the cancers. This needs to be changed in some way—votes according to geography rather than per person?

Deep blue IL and MD elected GOP governors this past November.

Hopefully-—certainly not guaranteed-—this may indicate the voters in both states-—maybe even MA too-—of all places are fed up with liberal policies bankrupting their states.

Time will tell.

The Founding Fathers had the answer to that problem:

They limited voting in federal elections only to citizens and property owners and taxpayers.

I think we should consider going back to that model.

I'm not too hopeful that anything O'Malley signed into law will be repealled. The MD House and Senate are firmly in the DemocRats hands and have been for a long time.

This is only the second Republican governor since Spiro Agnew in the '70s.

I think it is news when a deep blue solidly liberal Democrat state like MD elects a GOP governor. I knew the GOP was going to win big last November but I didn’t think it was going to happen in deep blue states like MD. I think the voters there elected Hogan precisely because they were fed up with O’Malley’s high taxes and other liberal policies. I hope Hogan can repeal some of O’Malley’s policies and enough Dems in the state legislature got the message as well.

I'm also hopeful but I'm not holding my breath. As a 34 year resident, I'm looking forward to leaving in another six years.

And they just got crushed in the recent election that returns more Republicans to elected offices than the US has seen since 1928.

Jury’s still out on how that’ll turn out.

Colors are backwards. Washington is VERY Red. The Puget Black Hole, at least. The rest of the state should secede.
