Obama did not do this. The Congress of the United States is the governmental body that wrote and submitted the budget with a 1% pay hike. If this is destruction of the military, then the House and the Senate are coequal perpetrators.
This means that an Army member with the rank of corporal or specialist will receive an additional $22.20 per month, while those service members with the rank of captain will get a pay increase of around $54.30 per month.
Don't spend it all in one place.

The average "benefit" is $134 per month, and when you figure in that many welfare households have multiple people getting their "swipe" cards, the total is hundreds, per month. This is on top of TANF cash, EITC cash, Section 8 housing, Low Income Energy Assistance, Medicaid, ObamaCare subsidies, General Cash Assistance, Assets for Independence, Consolidated Community Health benefits, Maternal and Child Health Assistance, Woman Infants and Children's Program, Social Security for Refugees, Social Security for Humanitarian Cases, Social Security for Asylum, and ObamaPhones.
