Sorry. Losing someone too soon is bad enough. Having them murdered is terrible.

Dr. BP - Yes, we musicians have a different sort of Christmas, don’t we? Starting mid-November or so, weekends booked. What sorts of things did you play?? And where? And on what?

I feel the spirit and soul of my late wife beside me. Alone? Not ever...Karl Gottfried von Leitner wrote a poem about that, and in the last year of his life, Franz Schubert set it to music. Leitner handles it indirectly, and even if you don't know German, you can simply feel the passage where the narrator speaks of his late wife's presence in the room, thanks to Schubert's musical gift.

I know. I feel so bad for her. Right now she is focused on the funeral, but there will be the ongoing police investigation and all of that. She has a long road ahead of her.
It is ALWAYS terrible losing a child. I have been through the death of 2 nieces so I have some idea about that. Sometimes you just have to cry all over again. My heart goes out to you and your wife.

I have birds, so don’t have or like cats especially, but can see how some people do. Hope things improve rapidly for you!

I love my furkids! I like being with them more than most people I know.
And they never give bad advice!

Yep. And it’s a bit rough. Lost my wife July 5th. First Christmas without her in 38 years. Lost my brother last month as well. Still have 2 cats. One is 22 yrs old (siamese) and the other (calico) is 11. My son is driving up from San Antonio tomorrow to spend the day and i’ll cook a Christmas dinner. I will say that the phone has been ringing off the hook from friends and family that i have left.
Merry Christmas everybody.

No tree or decorations. Some of the cats would have a field day! The only tree in my home right now is a cat tree, purchased a few weeks ago. All four cats have been having a 'field day' ever since...
