They are perfect companions. Never argue or talk back, although I’m pretty sure the cats try from time to time ;)

I've spent Christmas alone since 1997. It's just another one for me.
I'll be posting a Christmas treat at the FReeper Canteen this evening for those interested. I'll ping you.

Is there a Salvation Army church near you? If there is, go and stop by. Is there a VA hospital near you? Do the same. You don’t have to be alone. If you’re on FR you’re not alone. Merry Christmas.

Thank you.
It isn’t too bad.
Had a nice dinner, then a large cappuccino. Currently watching “Elf,” then maybe “A Christmas Story” on DVD.
Could be worse.

Yes, alone. What little of my family that is left is not close enough to visit. Difficulty day, as so much regular daily stuff shuts down. As a musician. I’m totally burnt out on Christmas carols, and all the local stations don’t carry anything else. Not a good day for me!

Oh, I’m so sorry.
But it’s better than being with the wrong person and wishing you weren’t.
Does that help at all?
To: Skooz
Nothing wrong with that. You can choose to be or you can choose not to be. Been invited to dinner but I am not going. I am not afraid of loneliness.

Spending a few hours alone right now, but will be heading out to midnight Mass in a little while. It's a traditional Latin Mass, and one of my time-honored tradition is taking a detour through a very pretty neighborhood where every home has a string of luminaries lined up along the street on Christmas Eve. It's a spectacular sight to see. The photo below isn't from the same town, but you get the idea!

What is the Freeper canteen?
To: Skooz
Me, the dog, the puppy, Papa Murphy and Jim Beam Jacob’s Ghost.
I’ve been working so much lately that the DVR is full. I’ve been wanting a night to catch it up.
I’ll get more than enough “not alone” tomorrow, and through the weekend.
To: bimboeruption
And Merry Christmas to you. :)

Almost all of my loved ones have passed on, so I’m by myself, but I have my little calico cat with me.

You never really get used to it, but there does cone to a point where you become comfortable with it.

Alone except for my beloved dog.
We are checking the Internet from time to time between episodes of Checkmate.
