I got no further than the above.
Actually the article makes a lot of sense, which is amazing for NPR. The writer is arguing that the one year ban makes sense. He gives statistics that homosexuals have 40 times greater risk of having HIV than heterosexuals and says this supports the current ban.
Yes the article is framed by typical leftist drivel like you quote but the core part is reasonable. I predict that NPR will pull it when the gaystapo get down to reading all of it not just the beginning.
My question is about the blood screening procedures for donations. Homosexual or otherwise.
If you don’t know the answer it’s ok. I can search elsewhere.
Yes.
all KNOWN diseases. It is nonsense in that the most militant ones will lie about their status.all KNOWN diseases.
It is the Elephant in the living room and that is what drives them even more crazy (than they already are).
??
Got it
I don’t know, but I assume blood screening is done when blood is drawn. Maybe you should rephrase the question.
I read it’s projected 50% of homosexuals will be HIV+ by age 50.
I think you may be right. The gay community no longer talks safety and using condoms. They have gone back to anal without a condom due to the drugs they all can now take that gives them a long life. I can’t believe how dysfunctional this group is and even worse our country that praises them. I think we as a society are doing a huge disservice to this group through our enabling. Yes of course we on here don’t endorse or enable but we are one small percentage of the American Population. Actually if we could run the country as a whole, our country would be incredible.
It’s always a great idea until you have to receive an emergency blood transfusion. Then you’ll never know for sure until years later whether the blood used was donated by a healthy individual. Feel like gambling...sometimes we have no choices but to take the risk.
I say reduce the risk by not allowing known gays, drug addicts, cancer survivors, and others with health issues from donating blood - forever.
No thanx you gold me what I needed from you. You don’t know.
You can bet the ruling elite will have access to a more, shall we say, “premium” blood supply.
I received 3 pints of blood during a heart triple bypass in 1997. Didnt even know I might even have to had that done before the surgery. I was horrified when I found out about it in intensive care. I wouldn’t have made it without the blood.
What are you going to do otherwise except die when you need three pints of blood? I made it otherwise unscathed.
Call it “Another Faggie’s Lament of Mistreatment & Prejudice from Evil Breeders”.
BTW, I am forever banned from donating blood because I was stationed in Germany. Not sympathetic to faggies no how no way.
Its not just HIV. There’s Hepatitis B and C, syphilis, and a myriad of other viral and bacterial SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED infections that may or may not be passed through the blood.
With owebama in charge if there is a choice between life and death the fedgov always picks death. I just know that guy carries the sign of the beast somewhere on his body.
NPR thinks it’s discriminatory that straight non-drug users don’t get AIDS and they want to change that.
“While gay discrimination has been reduced in so many other areas of life, up until now, there hasn’t been enough medical or political will to intervene on the blood ban. That policy perpetuated stigma without improving safety.”
Safety was improved 100%.
I wonder what kind of sick bass turd throws a tantrum and stands around whining and pouting because they can’t donate blood. Political correctness is going to kill us all. I think that’s the plan.
“rules”????
enforced how and by who?
are all blood donations tested?
NOOOOOO!
“all” is cost prohibitive.
And the new rules are still written by a$$holes.
