Liberals everywhere were outraged this week after Rush Limbaugh said a black man playing James Bond would be “ridiculous.” The comments were made on Tuesday in regard to leaked Sony emails that revealed that CEO Amy Paschal wanted the black actor Idris Elba to play James Bond. Rush, however, wasn’t having any of it. “James Bond is a total concept put together by Ian Fleming. He was white and Scottish. Period. That is who James Bond is, was,” the conservative radio show host said. “But now [they are] suggesting that the next James Bond should be Idris Elba, a black Briton, rather than a white from Scotland.” “That’s not who James Bond is and I know it’s racist to probably point this out,” he added. Liberals everywhere are outraged by these “racist” remarks, but what do you think about it? Sound off in the comments below!

James Bond is Scottish. There are black Scots, and there are white Scots. The color of his skin isn’t relevant to his character.
Lets put it this way. I would venture there are black members of the Secret Intelligence Service today who are Scottish. However, there were no white slaves.

Heck, make Bond a trans-gendered midget, after all, as long as we have all the cool gadgets, it’s still Bond, right?

There is no reason a British spy could not be played by a black. The problem with Bond being played by a black is that...well, the character is white. If you want to re-imagine how it might have been, why bother calling him “Bond”?
Of course, I think the Bond flicks should be kept in the Cold War era. They made more sense then. If one wants to keep up with the changing of Britain, then we need to re-imagine Bond as a woman hating Muslim:
“Bond, Mohammed Bond. Goat’s milk. Shaken, not stirred.”
There were white slaves in the South. Probably about as common, if not more, than a black Scot.

Rush does these things to rile up the libs. They don’t see anything wrong with demanding that a Supreme Court Justice be Hispanic, Female, or Black.
Any time they shake things up, like making M a woman or casting blond-haired 5'9" Craig, the movies are the better for it.
I think he should be a transgendered Chinese- American from the south, working for a local police department, whose parents own a restaurant. He should have a house that is full of cats, and he should be a pacifist.
