US Chamber Of Commerce To Push Immigration Reform, Tax Breaks In Congress December 27, 2014

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce flexed its muscle in the midterm election, winning 14 of 15 Republican primaries in which it was involved and helping the GOP recapture the Senate. Now it wants the Republican majority in Congress to get to work.

Chamber Chief Executive Tom Donohue said in an interview that the GOP has two years to enact “a vigorous program aimed at meeting the needs of the American people” or risk losing their majority. The Chamber wants Congress to act on business priorities such as an immigration overhaul, transportation funding, tax breaks and trade agreements.

Mr. Donohue warned lawmakers to move beyond intraparty skirmishes and partisan bickering that paralyzed the last Congress, hinting that his group might look to oust lawmakers who try to derail the legislative process.

The Chamber played a central role in the midterm campaigns, spending more than $70 million, according to an official. After backing a number of losing candidates in 2012, the goal for the group—and the Republican party—in 2014 was to nominate candidates with the best prospects of winning a general election, and an aptitude to govern once they arrived in Washington.

Amnesty for illegals is treason no matter who promotes it.

The tax breaks they propose are desperately needed. American corporations are suffering because of the regime's confiscatory taxes and burdensome regulations, killing profits and jobs. I'd surmise that if taxes weren't so high, the Chamber wouldn't be pushing this nonsense of illegals to fill jobs. While I can't and never will support their stance on this issue, they've stuck between a rock and hard place due to hussein's anti-business policies. The chief goal of a company is to return value to the investors and the current regime has thwarted that. These desperate times are forcing even the most loyal of American companies to cut corners, sadly to the extent of favoring illegals.

I guess U. S. Citizens are second or third class citizens to these people. Gosh, give me a list. I won’t disgrace them with my cash again.

Tom Donohue visited mass murderer Fidel Castro this year. obama just coincidentally opens relations with Cuba again. This shows that Tom Donohue has no morals.

Frickin' braggarts----14 out of 15 wins is pretty puny considering the big bucks CoC says they laid out. Good thing the CoC left a paper trail that we can follow (/snix).

=================================================

FREEPER ACTION ALERT--FLEX YOUR MUSCLES, FREEPERS: the following List should be photocopied by the gross, accompanying every communique w/ Congress.

============================================

THE LIST---The treasure trove of "The Midterm Democrat Demolition Derby" and down-ticket state wins have yet to be fully- mined, but this we know:

<><> midterms were a massive and awesome rejection of prog/libs and everything they stand for...including amnesty;

<><> the usually reliable South dumped Democrats bigtime,

<><> Southern Democrats control not a single governorship, US senator or legislative chamber,

<><> Democrat losses stretch from the Carolinas westward to Texas,

<><> despite Obama's targeting Texas, it remains redder than ever,

<><> Of 140 Southern States election districts---110 went Republican,

<><> GOP's House majorities are so huge and solid NBC's Chuck Todd says Dems can't recapture losses until 2022.

<><> Some pundits say Republicans have a 100-year majority,

<><> the grassroots dumped 30 lock-stepping Senate Democrats who voted sucked-up for Obamacare,

<><> Ark and Ill (Clinton hometowns) have Repub governors---guvs control party machinery,

<><> GOP has every congressional seat in Arkansas; first time in 141 years,

<><> Unprecedented MINN 6th Congressional district---every single House and Senate district went Repub

<><>GOP now controls the MINN State House,

<><> Ohio's historic GOP statehouse takeover means gun Control is toast,

<><> Ohio's Gov, Lt. Gov, AG, Secy of State, State Auditor, State Treasurer--all R---Sup/Ct - 6 R/1 D,

<><> Britt Hume: "latino vote is zilch"---"over-50" is significant 30% voting segment; no mention of CoC,

<><> Republicans unified control: gov/legislature in 23 states (per Ntl Conference of State Legislatures factoid),

<><> Repub governorships: Florida, Tx, Ill, Ohio, Mich, MD, Wisconsin, NC, GA, Mass, .

<><> Environmentalists fogged out---suffered huge losses,

<><> Gun Control Candidates blitzed,

<><> "War on Women" became a ntl joke,

<><> Both Clintons' de****ed; most candidates they flacked lost,

<><> Montana, So/Dakota and West/VA Dems were forced to retire; no hope of getting re-elected,

<><> An Arizona House recount race went Republican,

<><> AZ Republican McSally wins last open House seat (Dem Gaby Giffords seat),

<><> Repub McSally's win gives GOP 5-4 advantage in AZ congressional delegation,

<><> Repubs hold 247 House seats, the largest GOP majority advantage since Truman post-World War II,

<><> 73% of LA's white voters say they "strongly disapprove" of Obama,

<><>Republican Congress holds largest House majority in 83 years...

Corporate Income taxes as a percent of GDP has hovered around the 1% - 2.5% range for the past 40 years. I think what one might call the hidden corporate income tax in the form of rules and regulations is what is really killing business; ObamaCare being the latest.
My ideal world would eliminate the corporate income tax and all the ancillary pay roll taxes, for example FICA, and there would be a single income tax that treats all sources of income, whether wages or dividends, exactly the same.

The CoC types are guilty of making the corporate income tax the complex byzantine code that it has become.

Oboma "announced" an E/O and a "signing ceremony" in Las Vegas.
Neither of which happened.

Obama was photoed signing "memos" on AF One---not an "executive action." Why? B/c an E/O comes w/ legal baggage that the conniving Boobamba wanted to evade. Both "memos" are now on the Whitehouse website.

The scam works this way: signed Boobamba memos instruct federal agency factotums to come up with plans (that must meet Boobamba's global conspiracy to overthrow the US govt w/ Third World federales and their cadres jumping the US border).

The federal agencies then "invent" Committees to do this (the better to overthrow the US govt). Then "Administrative Rules," after a comment period, will be published in the "Code of Federal Regulations," which magically turns them into law........ using federal fairy dust.

So Boobamba is shielded from responsibility---he doesn't have to take the hit. Behind closed doors, he tells federal factotums what he wants.....and faster than you can say "the combo plate w/ extra hot sauce".....the overthrow of the US govt commences.

====================================================

THE "DELEGATION" HORROR STORY--A Federal agency MO since 1946. It's down to a science: (1) publish a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM), (2) make the comment period really short, (3) stonewall any negative comments, and, (4) publish the rule, which (5) NOW has the force of US law. No Congressman was ever involved, and Boobamba doesn't leave his DNA on it. Yet again, why "Delegation" is ominous for liberty---why the writing of administrative law by federal agencies - is un-Constitutional. (Thanks to FReeper Regulator's info.)

===================================================

FREEPER ACTION NOW: Write your governor; call your state attorney general. Nullification means power to the states and power to the people.

The judiciary has consistently ruled against the nullification doctrine, asserting its unique, judicial right to declare laws unconstitutional. But this executive order isn’t a law. And given its extremely shaky legal footing, it isn’t difficult to imagine a federal bench recognizing the states’ right to disregard federal orders that don’t clearly have the force of law.

And that would be a tremendous — tremendous — blow against the executive’s assumption of legislative powers.

But in the shorter, more direct term: It would force the Obama administration to go on offense, perhaps suing the states to enforce a law........ that isn’t a law.
