Jeb Bush is the clear Republican presidential frontrunner, surging to the front of the potential GOP pack following his announcement that he's "actively exploring" a bid, a new CNN/ORC poll found.

He takes nearly one-quarter — 23% — of Republicans surveyed in the new nationwide poll, putting him 10 points ahead of his closest competitor, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who tallied 13%.

Embrace the Suck. This is sample of adults with no screening for registration or likelihood of voting; albeit too early to get a good gauge on likely voters.

my money and time will go to Cruz.

When he opts in.

If he doesn’t, my time and money will go toward defeating bush in the primary.

I won't be voting for Jeb/Christie/Hillary/Romney/Warren, nor any other icon of the Uniparty.

CRUZ OR LOSE!

CNN and the left will be pushing Jeb until the republican nomination is sewn up. They did the same for McCain.

Wow, CNN - the official Democratic Propaganda Channel - really wants the Republicans to nominate an unelectable candidate.

I’m shocked, shocked I tell you!

The media kept telling us that McCain was the only republican that could win. After he won the nomination, their love affair with the dirtbag was over.

So the first two got 36% and Nope/Not/None got 13% for a total of 49%.

That’s still under 50%.

I think this is the media, trying to get attention off their “lead” candidate Hillary, while they go about figure another way to foist her upon everyone.

Nice try, CNN.

We will choose a candidate on our own, without “help” from slimy liberals, if you please.

I, for one, will NOT vote for any more RINOs.

EVAH!

It’s not that Jeb is such a bad wolf. It’s just that, if I’m one of the flock of sheep, I would rather be represented by a sheepdog than by a nice wolf.

Now that the great Betrayal of 2014 is in the rearview, anyone else notice that the recently absent Freeper left is creeping back onto threads with little and not so little hints that we have to vote GOP no matter what? Give it a few posts. They will hit this one too.

Boy am I shocked.

The liberal left telling us all how to vote in the primaries. Gee, thanks for looking out for OUR best interests.

IF the GOP were to CLOSE the primaries, NO RINO would EVER be nominated again. As it is, they have to leave them open so the libs and dems and unions can cross over and carry their selected RINO candidate to primary victory.

Doe anybody really believe Lindsey Graham would survive a primary challenge in a CLOSED SC primary?

Meaningless name recognition poll. 23% know his name and say “okay”. The remaining 77% is divided up among about 14 other candidates. Romney, never really getting more than 30% support in most of the early primaries, amassed the needed electoral votes and took this strategy to the 2012 nomination. Look for Christie and Romney to stay out for this reason. They play for the Bush team.

It is important to recognize that conservatives are a minority among self-identified “Republicans”, whereas communists are the majority among the Democrats.

I believe a conservative could be elected President - but not as a Republican.
