Jeb Bush is the clear Republican presidential frontrunner, surging to the front of the potential GOP pack following his announcement that he's "actively exploring" a bid, a new CNN/ORC poll found.

He takes nearly one-quarter — 23% — of Republicans surveyed in the new nationwide poll, putting him 10 points ahead of his closest competitor, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who tallied 13%.

At this point its name recognition. Jebbie is on TV everyday saying he’s going to run for President. Ted and Rand have not even said they will run yet. Wait til everyone announces then the polls will start to change.

Disclaimer: I agree that the GOPe will try to jam Jeb down our throats.

Because dispute their bravado, most ‘conservatives’ are as big a sheep as any liberal and will panic and vote RINO when someone on the internet posts bad pictures about their beliefs.

It is to ensure that a significant and important viewpoint in the Republican pantheon not get written off and written out.

"The Republican pantheon." That's a phrase I've never heard before.

An interesting one though, since the original Pantheon was a building dedicated to the celebration of a whole passel of false gods.

Leftists have to try new catch phrases out since some of us figured out the old ones were just a con.

I agree with you but “WE” are a minority.

Until the conservative movement moves past the need for a “Tea Party” - or any “Party” - and marches on DC, I believe we will continue to see “30 Second Sound Bite Candidates”.

And we will stay a minority probably forever, because most will cut an run to the GOP every election instead of manning up and being the principled people they brag about being.

YOu are absolutely right -

Unfortunately, even here in FR, there will be the stiff necked ‘purists’ who will insist :”It’s MY choice or NONE. If a candidate does not agree with me 110%, they’re not going to get MY vote!” “

And unfortunately, obviously, there will be spineless "impurists" who will drink any sewer sludge the GOPe serves up to them, and will try to make everyone else partake too.

A Bush Presidency will be distinguished from a Democrat presidency only by the apparent better attitude. The election just past is a strong indication that the last real election occurred in 2012 or even before that. There will be no more.

All the handlers want Jeb Bush to appear inevitable, until, as it were, he gets the nomination, then he is dirt.

Speaking as one, I am and always have been fine with Reagan’s 80% number. If the candidate cant hit that, tough.

What exactly has Jeb said or done to cause him to “surge” in the last few months? Nothing. This is just a liberal media creation.

You now call me evil.

I assure you that I am well to the right of 98% of the american population. If you call me evil , then i imagine that you see evil in essentially everything.

We live in a world with epic battles of good versus evil. If you see evil winning as consistently as you must, then I feel great pity for you.

I am not your enemy. I am obviously not your ally on every matter, but i am your friend whether you want me as such or not. I want the bulk of what you want. I am a sinner to becsure but not evil.

My friends don’t try making excuses for supporting people that give 5 figures of their personal cash and sign laws to kill babies. Evil people do.
