No matter what we do, genetics might have something to do with it.
I have a sibling who brushes once in the morning, and that’s it. He doesn’t brush his teeth at night. And he doesn’t floss. He rarely goes to the dentist. He’s in his mid-forties now, and he still hasn’t had a cavity in his entire life. He also never had bad breath. I don’t get it.
He doesn’t eat candy. I’m sure he drinks soda, though. His good teeth must be genetic.
OTOH, I know parents whose young children have gotten cavities simply from eating raisins.
Agreed - I can’t imagine not flossing - it is just such a part of my daily routine that I feel gross if I can’t do it for some reason ( or later than usual because we are out somewhere) - but everyone has their issues. lol
Actually the school lunch thing is the one thing, and the only one thing, I agree with Moochie about. Kids are fat arses these days. They grow up to become unhealthy adults milking the system. They need to eat their green beans. Don't like it? Tough luck. Children don't get to dictate their meal demands to adults. That's another problem with the new America. Wimpy parents.
Kids want to eat twinkies everyday? Fine, but don't expect US tax dollars to pay for it. Eat your "free" bean salad and if you don't like it kid get a job and buy your own damned lunch.
That’s because the government benefits went up the parents noses or into a hole in their arm. It’s the same with a lot of poor whites. They rake in stuff from government benefits, churches and charities and resell it for drugs. I’ve seen this done firsthand and it really puts a damper on my “charitable” feelings.
Don’t you know that withholding the desired foodstuffs from the fat kids is child abuse? And, btw, calling kids “fat” is bullying(and child abuse). So is requiring them to work on farms or in the family business that feeds and clothes them. You may not speak loudly to them, restrain them in any way or strike them. You must let them “act out” their aggressive tendencies for the sake of their “self esteem”. Any bad behavior they may exhibit is caused by a mental health issue that is, without fail, the fault of the parents. Where have you been? :) Sarcasm vent.
Parents today are up against it is all I can say and it gets worse every day. It takes a village and the government gets to decide who qualifies as a villager. The new standards are creating havoc and clueless little sheeple that don’t know right from wrong.
