Boehner Defends Scalise as More Ties to Former KKK Grand Wizard Emerge

House Speaker John Boehner has thrown his full support behind his embattled ally, House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, as more ties between Scalise and former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard David Duke—including a nearly-decade long close relationship with the ex-KKK leader’s top aide—have emerged.

Boehner backed Scalise, as it became apparent that, if Scalise goes down over this scandal, his entire leadership team—and Boehner’s own Speakership—could be in jeopardy.

“More than a decade ago, Representative Scalise made an error in judgment, and he was right to acknowledge it was wrong and inappropriate,” Boehner said. “Like many of my colleagues on both sides of the aisle, I know Steve to be a man of high integrity and good character. He has my full confidence as our Whip, and he will continue to do great and important work for all Americans.”

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy also backed up Scalise, as it became public that Boehner could lose his Speakership over this, jeopardizing his own spot in GOP leadership.

Maybe this is what conservatives need to ignore Boehner's strong-arm tactics next Tuesday when the leadership elections occur!

“Those statements come as two nationally syndicated conservative radio hosts—Mark Levin, via his Facebook page, and Sean Hannity, in an exclusive statement to Breitbart News—are demanding a clean sweep of House GOP leadership, pushing for Boehner, McCarthy, and Scalise to be removed by Republican members.

“GOP establishment a disastrous mess. Clean them out. Time for new leaders with conservative principles,” Levin said on Facebook about the Scalise scandal, adding that: “You RINOs need to do a much better job of vetting your leaders & candidates. After all, you’re the pros, right?”

Good!! Hit ‘em hard, Mark!!

Does a person of “good character” hang out with the likes of David Duke and be close friends with him? On the other hand, the media will play this up while ignoring Richard Byrd - a Democrat who served until death as a Senator from WVA. Once again - a double standard.

And yet, Barry’s past associations with the most radical domestic terror groups gets a pass.

Black Congressional Caucus can pal around with racists like Sharpton all they want. But a LA white congressman even knows David Duke and he is suspect of all sorts of crimes.

I’m a little conflicted. If this helps gets rid of Boner, I say good riddance. But it shouldn’t have to happen that way.

Republicans have learned nothing. Time to bring up holders connections with NBP and Rangles tax issues and,not step down until those type of things are also resolved. That’s how you play hardball.

Obama: 20 years in Wright’s “church”, supporter of Farrakhan and NBP, career launched in Ayres’ and Dohrn’s living room, anti-Semitic lynch mob leader Sharpton is his “go-to guy on race”, et cetera.

nuthin’ to see there...

This is not about Barry, Robert "the Wizard" Byrd, Sharpton, Wright, or any of the other racist extremists on the left. It's about the stupidity and incompetence of the GOPe and the opportunity to do the right thing and clean house.

At this point, though, the objective should be to get rid of Boner and his posse.

From DNC Communications Director Mo Elleithee:

“Does he not believe that speaking to an anti-semitic hate group legitimizes them and elevates their racist and divisive existence?”

I don’t know, what do Democrats that speak at Nation of Islam or CAIR events have to say on the matter?

Scalise needs to go.

The Republicans don't need have a high level member of the House leadership compromised by this sort of charge.

I'm not in a mood to defend or support a Speaker who runs away from confronting the Democrats on critical national issues but is willing to fight like hell to the last ditch to support a racist tainted crony.

I'm reluctantly willing to give Boehner the benefit of the doubt as Speaker, primarily because we have no other choice, but he has squandered all of his good will capitol by being an asshat of Speaker for the last 4 years.

If Scalise drags Boehner down with him, so much the better

Palling around with democRrats is certainly an error in judgment.

Everybody, please read the whole article. Turns out Scalise has been almost as close to Duke as El Presidente Obola has been to the Revs. Wright, Sharpton, and Jackson. Not only that, Boner did nothing to vet this skunk. It’s time for the House Pubbie operation to drink a double dose of colonoscopy prep and start worshiping The Great Growler God until Boner and the whole rotten present “GOP House Leadership” have found their way to the bottom of the nearest heavy duty septic tank. Then we can do the same to Obola.

Scalise didn’t have access to Google in 2002? Google was founded in 1998, when there already were lots of search engines on the market. Google took off incredibly fast and went public in 2004.
