...and the words 'should I do it?'

Montrae Toliver, 17, was arrested on Monday for allegedly making a terroristic threat He posted a photo of a replica gun pointed at a police car in Fort Worth, Texas The message accompanying the photo read, 'Should I do it? They don't care for a black male anyways!' Someone saw the photo on Twitter, took a screenshot and submitted it to Fort Worth police's Facebook page Police in Texas have arrested a teen for posting a photo of a replica gun pointed at a police car along with a caption reading in part: 'Should I do it?' Montrae Toliver, 17, was arrested on Monday for allegedly making a terroristic threat. Fort Worth police say he posted a photo on Twitter of a pellet gun pointed at the front of what appears to be a parked police car in the distance.

A separate tweet from the same account said the gun is an Airsoft replica, which was confirmed by Fort Worth officers investigating the photo, department spokeswoman Tamara Pena said. Someone saw the photo on Twitter, took a screenshot and submitted it to Fort Worth police's Facebook page, she said. 'Either way, it's a threat,' Pena said. 'And so it's going to be looked into.'

The message accompanying the photo read, 'Should I do it? They don't care for a black male anyways! -snip-

Pena did not know if Toliver had received a bond, and his name was not yet listed in jail records Thursday evening. A phone number for Toliver's family could not be found. The photo in the tweet was taken on the 1100 block of Mustang Ridge Drive. Teens and parents in the neighborhood confirmed Toliver was a student at Northwest High School, where he is involved in athletics.

Montrae Toliver

Looks like he's missing an apostrophe or two. Or maybe that's supposed to be one of them there fancy French frufru names? Or instead of two packs he's got to (sic) livers? Who couldn't use a spare (especially tonight).

Charged for a picture? No action? A toy gun. This is a very, very slippery slope. I can think of many, many pictures, comments, and so forth that could equally be misconstrued. Without action, I think this is simply wrong and on par with a kid at school making the motions of pointing a gun at someone, or drawing a picture. Heck, if I take and publish a picture of Mecca and superimpose a mushroom cloud to show my disdain for Islam, does that make me subject of hate crime and terrorist threat of WMD? Or, what about a 2nd Amendment T-Shirt with picture of a gun and caption that says ‘I defend my rights.’? Yes, skip the kid in the picture, this is a very slippery slope that tramples on our 1st Amendment.

Was it smart? No.

Was it illegal? Well if it is then this country is lost.

Just like in City of God, the gangsta talks like he is a big boy to get the top con job in the hood, but when caught he resorts to crying and claiming that he is only a baby.

Sounds familiar? Yep, Obamamechanic familiar

GOOD!!! That’s what you get for posting stupid $#@! like that on twitter. Now they need to go after everyone who threatened the lives of Darren Wilson, George Zimmerman, Mitt Romney, etc while using that website.

"...This is a very, very slippery slope..."

True. What is the worst that could happen, that it might incite someone to shoot two cops in their cars? Probably not. But hey, it is all just harmless talk, right?

Seriously, though, if a cop had seen this happening, don't you think they would have unloaded the clip into this clown?

Just pointing the gun at the police was a suicidal action.

Between the arrest or being put down permanently, I think the arrest is a "win" scenario for "brainless, clueless and unlikely to reach retirement age" there...

Where’s his rap sheet? Anyone got it.Oh wait, he’s a “minor”. If he commits a felony in Wisconsin he is considered an adult even though he is only 17.

Spike Lee may have actually did society a tremendous service by glamorizing that shooting method in his insipid "gangsta" flicks, holding the gun sideways to make the thugs look even more badass then they think are. Even Wyatt Earp, John Wayne, Gene Autry, etc. couldn't shoot the broad side of a barn that way ;)

The hair of the Gorgans consisted of living snakes...and you turned to stone if you looked at them.

I strongly advise against anyone gazing at the perp's photo at the link.
