House Republican slams anti-Boehner movement hard. Like, really hard. (Mick Mulvaney (R-SC-5)
The Washington Post ^ | January 6, 2015 | Sean Sullivan

Posted on 01/07/2015 7:31:21 AM PST by Timber Rattler

The last time there was a speaker vote, Rep. Mick Mulvaney (R-S.C.) didn't vote for John A. Boehner, protesting against the Ohio Republican by voting for no one.

On Tuesday, he did vote for Boehner. And he had some not-so-nice things to say about the movement to try to defeat the top Republican.

Below is his full statement, which is remarkably blunt and the kind of thing that is rarely seen from a member of Congress. (Seriously, it's worth reading the whole thing.)

In other words: It’s time to defenestrate the politician.
Contrived unintentional flight with a questionable landing would serve well to remind them who they work for.

Free Republic’s Bitter Kasserine Pass DEFEAT with John Boehner : WHY ARE WE HAPPY TO KEEP LOSING ?

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3244193/posts

That thread wasn't designed to be a pity party ...

So ... a genuine "thanks" for the Segway here ...

Several months in the future "Obama-Boehner Event ABC-XYZ" will require a massive public-political action ...

Question-1 : Should Free Republic even consider getting involved ? (Yes/No)

Question-2 : "IF" yes ... how should Free Republic be "pre-organized" for an EFFECTIVE response

2-A) "Free Republic Action Teams" set-up in advance ?

2-B) "Free Republic Action Teams" set-up in ALL fifty-seven (57) state chapters ?

2-C) "Information Infrastructure" (Congressional Telephone Numbers, Rally Locations) already be set-up and ready ?

2-D) Free Republic "coordination" with other Patriot groups ?

2-D-1) Red State (Erick Erickson) ?

2-D-2) Freedom Works (Matt Kibbe) ?

2-D-3) Overpassses For America (James Neighbors) ?

2-D-4) National Tea Party Patriots (Daveda Gruber) ?

2-D-5) Overpasses for Impeachment (Roger Ogden) ?

2-D-6) Stop The Busses (Stella)?

2-D-6) Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Beck, Josh Bernstein, Jon Matthews, Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Mark Davis, Joe Pags, etc.

2-D-7) Tea Party / 912 STATE groups

2-D-8) THE DRUDGE REPORT media interface contact

2-D-9) An "Action-Rally Graphic/Tag-Link" on the Free Republic website masthead ?

Only Jim Robinson can decide this question for Free Republic; after all he's the Founder and genius behind Free Republic.

"Thanks" Big Red Badger for asking the $ 10 million dollar question ...

I think that he makes a good point!

NO ONE with guts and a good conservative voting record ever organized a large group early enough to oppose Bonehead.

The question is what can we do now? Can we recall Bonehead? Are there enough conservatives in his district to do that?

Or, can WE pick the future leader and get behind him or her? I have no idea who is the most conservative member that is willing to go all in to stop this BS...Do you?

I totally respect what this guy is saying, who wants to team up with a bad theater troupe playing at strategy? He’s saying these guys clearly didn’t mean business and were only there to flush out potential dissenters presumably to have them punished.

Mulvaney is a douche. A principled person doesn’t just stand by their principles when everything is going their way.

Further proof that it’s just opposite sides of the same coin. Time to toss that coin out.

The voters aren't buying the excuse-making that is rampant this AM. Here's a sampling from his Facebook page:

There's hundreds more in the same vein.

It just proves my point that affecting change within the Republican Party is a losing proposing, it must be done from the outside.

Boehner is way too much about compromise, sadly McConnell as well. When the left is so far out and Republicans start near the middle, any compromise moves the center further to the left. We definitely need strong conservatives to move the center to the right. As Congress now stands, we will continue to incremently move to the left.

Do you really want someone “in charge” who cannot outflank Boehner? No. Pick an issue that American voters are consistently and overwhelmingly at odds with Washington about that is easy to understand at a fundamental level, border security comes to mind or something similar. Jump up and down on it, not in a half-hearted way only to get distracted, focus like the NRA when Pelosi gets that mad glint in her eye. If enough pressure is bought to bear, and they are forced to vote their districts you can count that as a blow struck to take back our country.

I just checked out the Constitution Party website. Does anyone know if they’re a viable path for us? Their platform looks pretty good.

The “elephant” in this discussion no one mentions in their excuses is the Omnibus.

Until Boehner pushed through that unmentionable his behavior was not repugnant enough to support a challenge.

Ironically, if someone had challenged Boehner at the meeting it is very likely that the Omnibus would not have been what it was or that the challenger would have been successful at either defeating Boehner or getting significant concessions.
