The three Muslim gunmen who killed 12 journalists in Paris targeted not just those people and their satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, but a core ideal and human right of the West––the right to free speech in the public square defined by tolerance for different opinions. That’s why the killers, after they had called out the names of their individual victims before they shot them, bragged as they made their escape that they had “killed” Charlie Hebdo.

This whole world is lost and 2015 is going to probably have some earth-shattering geo-political changes because of all the unrest everywhere.
I believe that's WHY the LEFT is looked at as "mentally deranged."

You are not forced to believe or know God. You can either accept or reject.
This is why the media conditioned everyone into the framing all everyone’s relationships as we are required to be tolerant and forgiving. Some didn’t get the message and they are killing us.
Is there anything that doesn’t offend Muslims? If, as Obama suggests, Western journalists shouldn’t be offensive to Muslims, does it make sense to worry about freedom of the press? Islam isn’t about freedom, human rights or civil rights. Islam isn’t about right and wrong, morality or ethics. Islam is about Muslims being offended. Western media services must comply.
Just “breathing” offends Muslims.
Allah = Satan.
Islam = A cult that pretends to be a “religion.”
Whether or not to stop them NOW is a moot point.
In the past decades, the US and other powers have sent the wrong message to terrorists.
Well, the right message as far as THEY are concerned and the WRONG message for the rest of us.
If you routinely concede on these crimes and incrementally over time, there is nothing to finally convince the killers that it won’t be tolerated, NOW or in the future.
The consistent appeasement mentality and the perpetual tolerance of all and any crimes has precipitated this.
At this time, it’s unrealistic to assume that anything short of the concerted, overt and immediate opposition of world powers will stop all this.
Now I understand why Americans have been buying guns and ammo for the last couple of years now.

I’ve been reading stories recently where liberals.. after THEY personally have been robbed start making excuses for why they deserved to be robbed and why THEY are the ones at fault!
We are WAY beyond simple distraction. These people are NUTS! And they will get us all killed!

People in the west think they can say they accept religion and be addicted to their secular lifestyles
Push comes to shove that doesn’t hold up in the fight
They are going to have to declare one side or the other

*scratching head* Okay. Not sure why you’re being combative. I’m an IT engineer with 15 years of experience with networking and server technologies. If you think that ANYTHING is going to provide a route around the existing Internet infrastructure, you’re mistaken.
This is also true for other European countries with significant muslim populations.
We, too, seem to be heading for something nasty made possible/probable by the demonrat's and the GOPe's fundamental transformation of our former constitutional republic.
They, especially the demonrats, know how to "never let a crisis go to waste" in order to move the unmovable and are also well skilled at creating and fomenting crisis.
I wonder what percentage of muslims in a population is required for martial law to be accepted as the only solution?
There’s an excellent opinion piece by Daniel Henninger in the WSJ today. He says that this Islamic attack, like all the others, will result in an outpouring of emotion and some sentimental hashtags, and then we’ll all be expected to just suck it up and go on until the next attack, hoping that it won’t hit us personally. No action will be taken against the cause or promoters of Islamic terrorism.
Both of the brothers in yesterday’s attack were under the surveillance (obviously, not very good) of French security forces because they had been with AQ in Syria and one had even served jail time for participating in Islamist recruiting. But no serious action was taken against them.
And the same is true on an international scale. Henniger says that unless the US and other governments get serious about eradicating this - with military action and serious punishment - radical Islam probably will eventually win and impose itself globally.
I became aware of the Mohammedan problem: first in 1972, with the coffee shop in Bangkok, Thailand, being blown apart by peninsular Mohammedan Siamese, and the massacre of the Israeli Olympic team in Munich, during the 1972 Munich Olympics; and the second, in 1973, when the surrounding Mohammedan nations tried to annihilate the nation of Israel in October, 1973.

It's possible to make and ENFORCE very strict laws about things like ‘Islamist recruiting’.
If the system is sophisticated enough to determine who they are, where they are and to arrest them... then strict enforcement of the laws would serve to at least deter a great deal of this.
Of course. REAL and enforced immigration laws would have to be in place FIRST. What's the point of locking the front door if the back door is standing open? A great deal can be done and isn't even proposed. The political will is pretty lukewarm
Cogent. Still have to delineate the numerous dichotomies of who is pushing the soporifics, who is ingesting them, who is playing possum because it's the easiest act (inaction), and who is wide-awake.
Those who are awake have to worry about retribution by those who try to keep them asleep...
It’s not just immigration. These two creeps were actually born in France, and I think you’ll find that a large number of these jihadis were are either the children or grandchildren of immigrants but were born in European countries or the US, or are actually of native European or African-American descent. The problem is Islam, not just where people come from.
