Explosions and gunshots rang out and smoke rose outside a building where two brothers suspected in a newspaper massacre are holed up with a hostage.
Security forces had surrounded the building for most of the day Friday, cornering the suspects in the killings at the Charlie Hebdo newspaper in Paris this week.
Police SWAT forces could be seen on the roof of the building

No confirmed reports yet of dead hostages. Sky News is saying that several, if not all of them, have been freed.

That’s right, good news. A woman and daughter Fox’s reporters said were seen leaving the store. We can hope no hostages were killed.
The hostage at the printing press “reportedly” was freed too in good shape.
Of course, we don’t know a whole lot now. It could be the reverse of what is being reported.
No matter the outcome, there is no operative deterrent at work from the good guys’ side. There’ only the expensive neutralization a couple of baddies that almost certainly would terrorize again or be promoted to be in charge of other jihadis if they escape.
For their side, these affirmed their faith and submission, were very successful in drawing infidel blood, and avenging Mohammed.

Last conversation Mr. OG and I had this morning was we can count on hostages all being killed. Will be a miracle if they survived. Those people have no respect for life.

I seem to hear about Marseilles some time ago, too. Fingers crossed and prayers up that no other innocents injured in the immediate future (actually ever).
FNC just reported all hostages safe. Also, that the bros came out of the building firing, a la Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
