Retired Gen. David Petraeus Could Face Federal Charges

CBS News has confirmed that felony charges may be brought against retired Gen. David Petraeus.

Both the FBI and federal prosecutors are recommending that Petraeus be charged with providing classified information to his former mistress while he was director of the Central Intelligence Agency.

Petraeus, a four star general who led U.S. military forces in both Iraq and Afghanistan, resigned from the CIA in November 2012 after his affair with Paula Broadwell, an Army Reserve officer, became public.

A search of Broadwell's computer turned up intimate emails with Petraeus and also revealed Broadwell may have mishandled some classified information that she'd collected for a biography she wrote of him.

The FBI found a substantial number of classified documents on Broadwell's computer, and she has told agents she took classified documents out of secure government buildings.

I think the General knows where some of Odungas bodies are buried. Der Holder best tread lightly.

Can’t vouch for the ‘properness’ of the generals behavior, but having Holder leading the indictment is the ultimate of irony.

Hillary needs Petraeus out of the picture. He is the one conservative who has the popularity and intellect to beat her like a stump-broke mule in 2016. Dems could not say he is unfit for POTUS because he had an affair when he would be running against Slick Willie’s wife and chief defender.

I predict they will try to put him in prison.

I’m sure that the General is well aware of the locations of several of Bambi’s skeletons...hence the threat of felony charges to keep him from talking now that the Rs control the Senate.

But 7 blatant acts of treason by “The One” is perfectly acceptable. Actually lets make that 11 acts of treason for each one of the Taliban he released.

He and Broadwell should have been charged long ago; I remember being shocked they weren’t when this story broke. If this had been any rank and file DoD employee, they would have absolutely been prosecuted and it wouldn’t have taken years. As I recall from the original story, we are talking about unauthorized removal of TS/SCI information from a federal facility, taking it home and letting it lay about ones home, then giving it to someone who was not authorized access, who then stored that information on their personal computer. Who knows who Broadwell then gave/sold it to, or where else she stored it, made copies, etc. It doesn’t get much worse than this, and they should rightly be held accountable.

The torture crap of Feinstein/Democrat’s seems to have fizzled, so out comes another diversion to throw at the wall to see if it sticks.

Democrats are predictable.

"With Colonel Mustard in the library with a candlestick?"

Back when my kids were little (they're in their 40's now), we were playing Clue, and when it was my youngest son's turn to guess, he said: "It was Mr. Greenjeans, [Captain Kangaroo], with the lead pipe up his hiney."

Don't ask me where he got that from, but back then he used to call the concession stand, the concussion stand...and moray eels, moron eels. He's gotten a bit better since he's aged :-)
