The Seattle City Council member, a member of the Socialist Alternative movement, has been collaborating with ex-Stranger writer and blogger (Horsesass.org) David Goldstein, often in the past a defender and advocate for the Democratic Party.

The Stranger has been a non-stop advocate for Sawant. It promoted her as a challenger to House Speaker Frank Chopp in 2012. It boosted her 2013 City Council race with a Madonna like cover photo, and Dominic Holden’s acid attacks on her opponent, Seattle City Council incumbent Richard Conlin.

If it keeps to the schedule listed on Amazon, “The Most Dangerous Woman in America” will be published shortly after the August primary in what is expected to be a hotly contested, new-rules battle for all nine seats on the Seattle City Council.

Cost for a hardcover edition is $22.75.The Kindle edition will set you back $14.82 — a few pennies less than the $15-an-hour minimum wage for which Sawant has campaigned relentlessly, lately getting arrested in a protest outside Alaska Airlines’ offices in SeaTac.

Kshama Sawant is a member of the Socialist Alternative party, the United States section of the British-based Trotskyist international organization the Committee for a Workers' International (CWI). She has referred to herself as a Marxist.[30][43] Sawant has stated that she does not advocate for any system like the "bureaucratic dictatorship" of the former Soviet Union, but for democratic socialism meaning "the society being run democratically in the interest of all working people on the planet, all children - everybody who has needs, and all that being done in an environmentally sustainable manner."[44]

This socialist explicitly identifies corporate America and capitalism as the enemies which control America. Strange that these great and powerful corporations are incapable of standing up against a shakedown artist like Al Sharpton. Strange that the energy industry has been incapable of fending off the EPA in the coalfields, along projected pipeline paths, or on federal lands. It is extraordinary that corporate America has not found a way to prevent Congress from blackmailing it every tax season.

Kshama Sawant is trying to redistribute the property of corporations to voters. She regards the system, that is the system of free-market, to be illegitimate and therefore the wealth and property which successful participants in that free-market acquire is illegitimately held by them and, in all justice, should be redistributed according to those who can marshal the greater amount of votes.

She wants to substitute the mob for the free market. She wants to substitute the mob for the constitutional right of property. She wants to do away entirely with the free market system and substitute the whim of the mob. To awaken the mob she chooses issues for which there are more claimants than capitalists (like rent control where there are more tenants and landlords) and panders to them.

This has proven to be a winning formula in most of the world, a formula which many thought had been repudiated by history in 1989 with the fall of the wall and the subsequent collapse of the Soviet Union but Venezuela, Ecuador, Brazil, Bolivia and elsewhere are places that remind us of the power of socialism. Just because there is no toilet paper to be had in Venezuela does not mean that socialism has no sex appeal in Seattle.

If it weren’t for the free market in the US, her A$$ would still be sitting in India. There are a lot of communists in India. And a lot of socialists who screwed up the country for years. Capitalism has been their recent salvation.

Must be strange and extraordinary because when you are expert at behind-closed-doors negotiations or hostile takeovers you have to show your cards. It is up to the people who are or could be working for corporations or small businesses to counter protest. There are 92 million not employed. Give them a job like the democrats do in political activism.
