Romney or Bush: Who would you prefer if you had to choose for 2016 nomination? And Why?

Posted on 01/10/2015 7:43:45 AM PST by inchworm

I'd take Romney. He seems more like he is learning, understanding, and trying to be more conservative as the years go on. Bush on the other hand is floating ideas that seem far less conservative to me as the years go on.

However, CRUZ IS MY TOP CHOICE!!! Go CRUZ!

I’m all for packing as many RINO’s in the primary process as we can get.

I hope Romney, Bush, Christie, Huntsman and as many other RINO’s
as we can load in a Primary Cattle Wagon jump in the race. The more
RINO’s jump in, the better, as long as we have at least one strong conservative too.

Gov Romney, because we need to shore up the economy.

How did Masschusettseseses's economy perform under Romney?

If choosing between these two: Romney. NO MORE BUSHES!

And if Romney gets the pick: I WILL vote for him and not Hiawatha of Hitlery. And I WILL VOTE!

Scott Walker. And either Rand Paul or Ted Cruz before either Romney or Bush the Lesser (though I have problems with both).

Given the forced choice, I’ll go with Romney — I don’t like the republic descending into dynastic politics and he seems to be a little to the right of Bush.

Not a weird topic, because if the establishment is destined to shove one of these guys down our throats, the last few primaries or so might need to have to answer and evaluate this question as a possibility.

Neither and no way in h*ll will I ever vote for either guy.

The Republicans, lead by John Boehner and Mitch McConnell, just funded Obama Care for a year, funded the derivitives market (learning nothing from 2008), and funded the Illeagals.

Now the Republicans are pushing for Carbon taxes, (to give money to the Al Gore and the rest of the Internationist), since gas prices have dropped.

Sorry ... NO WAY IN H@LL!

Which addiction would lead you a better future?

Neither. No amount of trying to “soften the opposition” is going to work this time. Never again. They have rigged the game and changed the rules as necessary to thwart the will of the base - all on the belief that we “have nowhere else to go”. Guess again, we have another place to go - it’s called staying home on election day.

Same here. I’ll take Walker. I’m sure he has some RINO in him somewhere but at least he looks less of a slime ball. Kinda looks like Reagan just a touch.

So this is the reason Bush said he was running so early? To scare us all into running to Romney?

Since barring a direct act of God, Ted Cruz wouldn’t ever be elected, so the best alternative is Gov. Walker. He has been tried by the Socialists’ fire numerous times and has won.

I thought Romney was doing a good job going for the win last time around, then Christie hugged Obama, and the nation wept.

We've already had a very similar scenario to this during the 2012 presidential election. I voted Constitution Party instead. That was my choice. I am prepared to exercise that option once again in 2016. We'll see if the primaries force it upon me.

I won’t vote R if those are the choices. Don’t know what I will vote for, but it won’t be D either.
