Duke University finds homosexual haters it can embrace: Chick-fil-A Out, Muslims Prayers In
American Thinker ^ | 01/15/2015 | Thomas Lifson

Duke University is one of the most politically correct campuses in the nation, a title for which there is abundant competition.  Chick-fil-A’s outlet on campus closed in 2013, after its contract expired in the wake of concerns expressed by the LGBT Center.

But now comes news that the Muslim call to prayer, the adhan, will echo from the bell tower of the Duke chapel – Duke’s most iconic structure – every Friday, electronically amplified. CNN:

Starting Friday, the Duke Muslim Students Association will chant the call, or adhan, from the Duke Chapel bell tower. The adhan signals the beginning of the weekly prayer service. It's ubiquitous in Muslim countries the world over; not so in the Carolina piedmont.

The call will last three minutes and will be only "moderately amplified," the school said.

Duke, which got its start in the late 19th century with help from the Methodist church, says the move "represents a larger commitment to religious pluralism that is at the heart of Duke's mission."

I wonder how the LGBT Center feels about this.  Islam calls for the killing of homosexuals.  If mere opposition to same-sex marriage is cause for outrage, how about the killing of homosexuals?

Breitbart reports:

Duke University has a long history of fostering political correctness and hypersensitivity, from Chick-Fil-A’s removal from campus, to hosting a the national Palestinian Solidarity Movement conference, and to canceling a pro-life event in their Women’s Center on campus.

Libtards truly are completely detached from reality and incapable of sound reason.

Yep, and they run America.

The Duke faculty showed its intellectual, moral, and ethical depth in the “Lacrosse” fiasco.

Wouldn’t it be great if some Christian students would put some JBL loudspeakers powered by their McIntosh amp and blare “Highway to Hell” 5 seconds after the Muslim chant everyday?

The Western Left embraces totalitarian government, conformity, and intolerance, and hates liberalism, liberty, freedom of speech, and the free exchange of ideas. It longs for absolutes and a monolithic conformity of ideas, beliefs, and opinions.

If I attended Duke I would buy Chik-fil-A for lunch every day and bring it back on campus to eat in the most public place I could find.

It would be tough. I’ve been at that bell tower, and it is VERY high.

It would be a tough shot from long range, unless you were also elevated, perhaps on top of a building. There’s a hospital, parking garages, hotels, and several other tall structures nearby. Would be tough getting out of there unseen. The shot would be heard by hundreds, if not thousands of people, and there are cameras everywhere.

Too bad, you won’t get Chick-fil-A on campus.

And then the burkhas.

Even the burkas would disappear. Can’t have women getting educated now can we? They may think for themselves if that happens!

Yes, it’s a true horror show. Until parents stop sending their kids to these corrupted institutions, nothing is going to change. Nothing. But they think if the kid has a Duke University degree (and is barely literate), they’ll get to be a host on MSNBC or a staffer in the White House. Personal ambition and vanity trumps everything.

One of the greatest things to come out of the Gay Rights movement: I’ve been introduced to Chik-Fil-A sandwiches! I love them.

Why? Well, if one looks further into it, the Al-qaeda and ISIS fighters ARE NOT homophobes, after all! Who would’ve believed it? Shoebat.com has exclusive news and interviews with some of those who were its victims.

Wonder if Duke already knew that BEFORE staging these events?

After the call to prayer the Lord’s Prayer will be recited over the loudspeaker. Not.

Repulsive. And allowing a Christian church to be used for this crap, to boot. Simply unconscionable.

Guess I have a whole new reason to hate Duke!

I used to follow Duke basketball and Coach K. No more. After the incident a few years back with the alleged rape and lynching of those young men before any evidence had been gain, and taking the testimony of a hooker, druggie, I said enough. I used to be a big sports fan. No more. I have decided that enough of this hero worship of player A and B. The majority hang out in strip clubs. That is not something I follow. I gave up sports for a better life. You would be amazed at what life has to offer when you are not sitting in front of the boob tube 30 hours a week watching every ball game on ESPN. I actually discovered things that my wife and I could do together and have a real life not tied to sports. My blood pressure is 116 over 68 and I don’t sit in front of the TV ramming chips and dips down my throat and yelling at the TV. It really is a nice life out there.

Next up at Duke: “infidels” get beaten up during Ramadan for daring to eat or drink in public while the sun is up.

How low the mighty have fallen:

Duke University in Durham, N.C., traces its origins to 1838, when Methodist and Quaker families in rural Randolph County employed Brantley York as a permanent teacher for their subscription school. Under his leadership, the infrequently-used Brown's Schoolhouse became Union Institute. However, as Quaker support turned toward its own school in Guilford County, Braxton Craven (York's successor as principal in 1842) turned to the state for assistance. Craven sought and won from the North Carolina legislature a rechartering of the academy as Normal College in 1851 and the privilege of granting degrees in 1853.

Because the state's public school system was emerging slowly, Craven, a licensed and later-ordained preacher, turned to the Methodist Episcopal Church, South to keep the school operating. The trustees agreed to provide free education for Methodist preachers in return for financial support by the church, and in 1859 the transformation was formalized with a name change to Trinity College. Though never devoid of financial difficulties, Trinity's enrollment increased, even attracting students from out of state, and the college managed to survive the vicissitudes of Civil War and Reconstruction.

Someone at Duke, immediately before the Muslim chants, should blast audio of the newscasts and 9-11 emergency calls of Sept 11, 2001.

If mere opposition to same-sex marriage is cause for outrage, how about the killing of homosexuals?

Seeing the contradiction is only possible by employing reason, and libtards have long ago abandoned all reason.
