If he fails to win the nomination, I’m done with American politics. The country will be too insane.

Politics, for me, isn’t the be all end all.

No, but politics is sort of the point of a political thread on a mostly political Conservative website. Hence, complaining about politics and the lack of political backing for Ted Cruz on a thread which is specifically about politics on what is a mostly political Conservative website, and then protesting that one is too bored or lazy, or just too precious to get down in the mud with the rest of us filthy Conservatives for Cruz strikes me as a little, well, pointless.

I pray to Our Lord that you find the courage to believe that, even in the arena of politics, that you, personally, can become a force for good.

Cruz or Lose 2016

That explains Graham’s little foray.

SC it seems like AZ for McC will always be for Graham. There is nothing we can do. They people don’t know what they are doing in either state.

Some think if Lindsey Graham enters the primaries, it will only be to take votes in SC to insure a conservative does not win that early state and gain momentum.

Why would Lindsthy Graham take votes from conservatives in a Republican primary?

" Actually, I’ve worked for a number of elected officials and there isn’t a one I would do anything for."

You are obviously a very confused, lost person. You need to re-evaluate what you do in life, and why.

We’ll never know what he can win until his hat hits the canvas in the ring...My money will be behind him if that happens.

Lindsey Graham would stand as much of a chance of winning the nomination as Pee-wee Herman. So, yes, preventing a real conservative such as Ted Cruz from winning South Carolina would be the ONLY reason for twinkle toes to enter the race.

Of course he can win it all. And of course the South Carolina primaries matter. It’s the third primaries and any conservative candidate that does badly in South Carolina is essentially finished. I am going to bet that Ted Cruz WILL win South Carolina.

Exactly, he wouldn't, he'd take votes from Mitt/Jeb.

He's thinking of running because like many Senators, he's a deranged egomaniac who sees a President in the mirror.

Could Cruz win South Carolina? Yes he can. The question then is can he win Iowa and New Hampshire? I think he can win Iowa and be respectable in New Hampshire. Given that then can Cruz build enough momentum to win the nomination? I believe he can, and I believe he will.

If Newt won so could Cruz.

My opinion as well.

But I should add that that SP and Todd had more than a little to do with Newt's SC primary victory.
