Exact same thing can be said of the GOP.
It would be more accurate to say that the federal government refuses to recognize the results of the 2014 election.

You would think Soetoro would have been chastened after the Dems defeat in the midterm elections.
To the contrary, he now feels liberated. No longer needs to cater to Dems in red states anymore-—very few of the left anyways-—.
He will only get more radical these last two years in office. Has nothing to lose. No more elections to worry about. He cares nothing of Clintons or how they’re positioned for 2016.
He now will implement as much of his radical agenda as possible.
The only thing more scary than Soetoro are the people who voted for him. They will still be around, long after he’s left office.

I am reminded of the scene from Citizen Kane when Kane loses the gubernatorial election. His newspaper has two sets of banner headlines prepared, depending on the outcome: one read, "KANE WINS!", and the other, "FRAUD AT POLLS!" Barack Obama cannot internally compute the possibility that he and/or his policies could be rejected; there must be some other reason the Democrats were diselected last November.

With a loud and clear voice, the public elected a Republican majority as a way of saying, "Enough!" But, you see, the Republican party wasn't running against Obama's policies it was running on I'm not a Democrat
— they hadn't done anything with what power they had before the elections to stop the Obama agenda
because they actually agree with it; now that they got your vote, what makes you think they'll do anything different?

It's hard to imagine a more complete shellacking than the one Barack Obama took in the 2014 mid-term elections. I can imagine one - the 2008 elections. Did the GOP cave in and allow Obama everything he wanted? So why are people irate that Obama isn't rolling over himself?
To: Kaslin
But did you know he won two elections?
