Hillary Rodham Clinton holds double-digit leads over potential Republican challengers Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney as the likely Democratic presidential candidate moves closer to entering the 2016 race, a new Washington Post-ABC News poll finds.
Although Clinton, Bush and Romney are all longtime politicians and members of political dynasties, registered voters are less likely to count that familiarity against Clinton. That is a good sign for Clinton, a failed 2008 presidential candidate and the focus of Republican criticism that her time has come and gone.
Clintons potential to make history as the first female U.S. president makes little difference to most voters and is a net positive for others.

Interesting thought. With the government giving Carte Blanche to everyone and everything coming across our southern border, there is a rising voting majority there — as well as an established welfare dependency base.
It’s all yours my Friend.
Didn’t mean to step on your Toes.
As for me, Cruz / Anybody with (or without) a Pulse would work after Obama and the other Useless Idiot.
MSM Ginning up the numbers for the pie-eyed old crow
Hilary is ahead by double digits? OK then. She was ahead by double digits against one Barack Obama back in 2007 too. How did that end up?
In any case she is not going up against “mushy middle” Democrat lites like Romney or Bush. She is going to go up against a real man, Ted Cruz, and an incredibly energized conservative base. We are going to give her an a** whupping.
Michael Dukakis had double digit leads over HW Bush in the summer of 1988. Jimmy Carter had a double digit lead over Ronald Reagan ON LABOR DAY 1980.
Polls are meaningless. “Believing” a poll is both meaningless, and a sign of stupidity.
There will be an election campaign (probably) in 2016. It will start around Labor Day. Voters will make up their minds between October 15 and October 25, 2016.
Events will happen between now and then. It's 655 days away. That's a VERY long time.”
Any polls this early are meaningless. This may be just the respondents to this poll reacting to familiarity.
looks like Bill has his own Weekend at Bernie’s going in that picture
I think a Cruz/Martinez ticket will have the left in panic mode once they see the real polls in all crucial states with the Latino GOP ticket ahead by 10/15 points.
I'm putting them on all my vehicles. They read "Run Hillary Run" and can be found on my front bumpers.
I don’t like Martinez -
Lets elect another idiot as long as they are a “symbol” for something.
Weekend at Bernies
You nailed it! Made me laugh, thanks.
I have to agree with the Doc in Back to the Future. In order to get elected president, you have to look good on TV.
Run Hillary Run!
“A fat ugly bag with money...with NO achievements in the Senate and a world worse than when she became Secretary of State, and she is going to have a cake walk to the White House.”
Exactly. What conservatives need to do is remove focus from winning against someone this country has already decided to put in the White House, and getting one of their own nominated. That nominee’s role would be to further the conservative message.
The communists are going to buy the White Hut for Slick Willie’s wife. America sure has become a sick country.
Jeb Bush really hasn't come out into the public eye yet.
The Dems are in trouble because Hillary's all they've got. If she stumbles they will have to fall back on Biden or Webb to carry the ticket. Good luck with that.
The free stuff freeloaders. Ready and willing to trade their liberty and freedom for free stuff from the government. Slaves.
meh.... Carter led reagan by double digits in AUGUST of 1980
LOL! True true
I find it hard to believe her numbers, but I can’t bring myself to discount her numbers. I think it’s driven by women and Clinton supporters.
We can look at the sampling sizes for democrats and republicans, but I think it’s the 2 I just mentioned.
We need to ruin that somehow, and I think a Cruz/Martinez ticket would help do it. Two Hispanics, one of them a female, and we’d at least win the republican women back. We’d also cut into the Hispanic vote, and we’d get the evangelical vote bck.
