And yes, if you are afraid of the “potty words”, you are an infant, or at least an infantile mind.

If you cannot present your thoughts, even with force, without using "potty words" or profanity, then some vocabulary enrichment is definitely needed.

As I pointed out, connotations are a stubborn part of the linguistic milieu.

Sometimes it is a good thing to defy connotations because you are challenging their validity (I’m thinking of the recent vote by the Senate that climate change is not a hoax).

But everyone knows that the F word today means to commit an evil sex act whatever it originally meant. To the point that I wouldn’t propose it to my wife no matter how amorous we were getting.

Maybe, IF one COULDN'T. But that is usually not the case. People with better than average vocabularies can still pepper their language with "profanity". It's fun and feels great. !!!
