The USA has, by far, the highest per capita gun ownership in the world. Progressives will tell you that this is what makes America the Murder Capitol of Planet Earth. But we're not, and in this devastatingly effective Firewall, Bill Whittle shows why the center of Gun Nut Nation is in fact one of the safest places in the world.
America does not, in fact, have the highest murder rate per capita.
We aren't even close.
America has the lowest number of murders, per capita, anywhere and Bill adroitly points out the numbers.
Something to consider, for those intellectually marooned on an island of their own making, with no harbor or lighthouse to give them any bearing on reality...
An armed society is a polite society.
Who are the top 5?
Listen the article.
Pretty amazing.
> Who are the top 5?
I would lay odds that it’s Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, and Somalia
> America does not, in fact, have the highest murder rate per capita.
We aren’t even close.
I will lay odds it’s in Marxist heaven where guns are outlawed for the peasants...
excellent youtube.
worth the click!
Well I was wrong after watching the video but I find it hilarious that the countries with Marxist type gun control have the highest murder rates. Also noted that cites in the U.S. that have the tightest gun controls also have the highest murder rates and all share a commonality among them. Hint: Chicago, Detroit, New Orleans, Oakland, and Kansas City are among them.
One thing s or certain - this video will stir the leftist gun grabbers into a frenzy. It may even give them a stroke or heart attack so please share nd distribute to leftist websites freely...: )
I enjoyed that. Don’t know who Bill Whittle is but he’s pretty good.
The top 5 cities in America with the highest murder rates.
http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2013/crime-in-the-u.s.-2013
City, Murder and non-negligent manslaughter rate per 100,000 people
1. Detroit, 45
2. New Orleans, 41
3. Newark, 40
4. St. Louis, 38
5. Baltimore, 37
Let’s go ahead and throw five more in for grins and giggles.
6. Birmingham, 30
7. Cincinnati, 24
8. Oakland, 22
9. Baton Rouge, 21
10. Kansas City (MO), 21
U.S.A. came in at 111th place (4.7 murders per 100,000).
Not really. We're about halfway down the list of the world's countries. But all those above us are third-world types. We're well to the lead among modern, first world industrialized nations. Usually by a factor of 2 to 10.
I doubt you will find a large city in the country with freer gun laws than Detroit.
Open and concealed carry with stand your ground laws and a pro second amendment police chief and falling crime rate.
I don't think we watched the same video.
According to the link, America was ranked 111th, so about 100 countries have a lower per capita murder rate than the USA.
In terms of “gun murder” rate, however, the news is somewhat better.
And, when you carve Black and Hispanic gun murderers out of the USA statistics, the news improves again.
USA whites commit gun murders at a rate that is only slightly higher than the rate white people in Switzerland commit gun murders.
I’ll certainly be spreading this one around. Thanks!
Detroit doesn’t have strict gun control. Michigan is one of the most pro-gun states in the nation, and no city can restrict guns beyond state law.

As of 2012 we placed 91st on the list.
With a new Police Chief in town I think Detroit’s murder rate will fall.
