America does not, in fact, have the highest murder rate per capita.
We aren't even close.
America has the lowest number of murders, per capita, anywhere and Bill adroitly points out the numbers.
Something to consider, for those intellectually marooned on an island of their own making, with no harbor or lighthouse to give them any bearing on reality...
An armed society is a polite society.
Who are the top 5?

I will lay odds it’s in Marxist heaven where guns are outlawed for the peasants...
excellent youtube.
worth the click!
I enjoyed that. Don’t know who Bill Whittle is but he’s pretty good.
U.S.A. came in at 111th place (4.7 murders per 100,000).
Not really. We're about halfway down the list of the world's countries. But all those above us are third-world types. We're well to the lead among modern, first world industrialized nations. Usually by a factor of 2 to 10.
I don't think we watched the same video.
According to the link, America was ranked 111th, so about 100 countries have a lower per capita murder rate than the USA.
In terms of “gun murder” rate, however, the news is somewhat better.
And, when you carve Black and Hispanic gun murderers out of the USA statistics, the news improves again.
USA whites commit gun murders at a rate that is only slightly higher than the rate white people in Switzerland commit gun murders.
I’ll certainly be spreading this one around. Thanks!

Bill Whittle is amazingly good.
Take out all the criminal on criminal murders and we do even better. One of our dark spots is the number of domestic partner murders.
Interesting that the homicide rate for USVI was 52.6, third highest after Honduras and Venezuela. Puerto Rico was 16th at 26.5. US was 112th at 4.7/100,000. Canada was 171st at 1.6 per 100,000, the UK was 192nd at 1.0.
Now, what is left to do is to convince certain young men that, when the policeman tells them to keep their hands visible, they do. It’s just that simple.
Hey, I live in Plano. I never heard it called ‘gun nut capital’ before. Where does that come from?
