With an increase in electric and hybrid vehicles along with better fuel-efficient vehicles, changing Bay Area drivers habit are posing a serious problem for state coffers. As motorists use less and less gas, gas tax revenues to pay for state highways, roads and bridges shrink. Meanwhile, as gas prices fall, so does the sales tax generated by fuel sales. I wish these clowns would stop referring to thieves as “lawmakers”. They are thieving bastards who steal other people’s money.
Seattle is floating that trial balloon, also!
We are taxed by mileage right more. If I buy 40 gallons of gas each week and you buy 10 gallons, I pay a greater amount of taxes than you do. I also use the roads more than you do. The mileage tax is a double taxation.

3. Daily Log
More taxpayers moving out of Mexifornia to make room for more freeloaders . . .
A fuel tax based on a percentage has 2 variables. Eliminate one and tax at a flat rate (”X” cents/unit).
Still not a “sales tax”.
Using Redistributive Politics to Shape a Left-Wing Electorate
How much do those little GPS boxes cost?
Somebody (read: TAXPAYERS) has to pay for these things.......................
When I was a kid this was a free country......................
What they call sales tax is included in the per gallon price at the pump, and not included in the mandated sticker, and something I constantly correct with a black marker.
