A bigger concern is heads of corporations that make billions while their employees are on food stamps. Another big concern is the Fed and the gov bailing out banks and corporations while US citizens get next to no interest on savings and are saddled with impossible government debt.
The public employee unions are the Power base which allow the government to run rough shod over the rest of the people. They vote and donate as a voting block and they decide who will be elected and who will not. From the local school board to the president, they are the power. We can’t reign in the political abuses until we break their power base.
It will be interesting to see who they get to lie about who they are. I don't see a one without serious weakness.
The only thing they have going for them is the 47%, plus the media will be trying to destroy the (R) team with any dumb thing they can make up, to get the last 3% they need.
Actually, I think Reagan's biggest mistake was Sandra Day O'Conner, followed closely by Anthony Kennedy...
Cruz needs to stay in the Senate and give Mitch McConnell hell for the foreseeable future.
Union influence on elections is only part of the problem. Corporate influence and influence by groups such as the Chamber of Commerce also undermines the system.
Cruz needs to stay in the Senate and give Mitch McConnell hell for the foreseeable future.
We’re not discussing “the foreseeable future”. You need to start over.
Yes. “really”. Hitlery will raise as much as she can and then drop out and take as much money as she can get away with. IMO
Good points.
I agree.
I was looking at Walker before the buzz got loud. I love what Cruz has done in two years in the Senate. I am not convinced that running for President best capitalizes on his talent and ability.
Along with Palin, he has tremendous power as a kingmaker.

I misunderstood.
I couldn’t agree more. I’ve liked Walker for some time, too and we need his executive experience and accomplishments.
Palin would be excellent as a cabinet secretary. EPA comes to mind. She would do wonders there.
If you were Governor, what would you do when the courts ruled against you?
I despise the judicial activism that has made gay marriage “legal.” However, I respect the wisdom of our Founding Fathers who developed a system of checks and balances to avoid tyranny.
Judicial tyranny has characterized the last several decades. The solution is to get out the conservative vote and make sure candidates promise to appoint judges who follow the Constitution rather than elitist opinion. That issue is Number one on my list when it comes to deciding about a candidate.
Oh, I can’t argue against that.
