Wireless Keyboard: $70 (Even more if you want the keypad with it)

Get real, Morpheus, who ever said anyone needs a Thunderbolt display or high-end display from a third party for a Mac Mini? Neither I nor Apple said that. The Mac Mini is designed to work with what you already have as an upgrade from your old P. Why do you need a wireless keyboard or wireless mouse? Use a standard USB version of both, but I'll grant you your wireless.:

Must you guys exaggerate to make your point?

And a Mac will work with any USB or Bluetooth keyboard or Mouse you can buy or you already have. Why are you selecting the most expensive options you can find? Obviously so you can push your "Macs are expensive" agenda.

If you watch the Apple Refurbished Mac store, you can often buy a Refurbished Mac Mini for as low as $399.00, and add an $90 20" monitor (Fry's had them on sale last week), Or this:

Now you could have a complete, working OS X Mac for $510 plus a tax and a little bit of shipping. . . and most states, no tax.

That’s the keyboard I use, years old. I picked up a late-2013 iMac from the Apple Refurbished store in August 2014 at a $350 savings, when my 2008 iMac died. The thing was identical to the brand-new iMacs.

The only complaint I have is that since the old, dead iMac was incapable of running, it was not possible to recover the Time Machine backup to build the new system.

You're exactly right, I bought a Mac Mini because I already had want I needed to complete it. I had an old keyboard from my G5 that died, a Microsoft Mouse and a cheap 23” monitor.

I used that for a couple of years, I just bought a 32” Sony TV, a wireless Mac keyboard and a wireless Super Mouse. Now I can sit across the room in my lazyboy and relax.

P.S. The Mini I currently own is a 2011 with the i5 CPU, I just ordered a 2012 with the i7. I really need the Quad Core to do what I do. The i5 will be for sale after I get everything switched over.

Apple does good marketing, because with good marketing, the customer is willing to accept that even with increased price, the product has a quality that is worth the extra money. The MacBooks are a primary selling point for Apple, but evidently, people who buy them are pretty into it. My Viewsonic is by no means the cheapest LCD, but it has lasted for 7 years, and is still good, it’s worth me buying it. The iPod touch was not the cheapest option of the gifts my relative got for me, but since it is now five years old, and still in good condition. I am not 100 percent pro-apple, but that is a good point about them in emphasizing quality, and satin that their products are worth the money to their customers.
