“You’ve got to be kidding me” came out of my mouth.

Well, you've got 5 of the words that I used.

With a timeout left. This is definitely a time when the old adage “When you throw the ball one of three things can happen, and two of them are bad” immediately comes to mind.

If a church had run a commercial showing happy kids, saying they’d die young and unfulfilled lives from accidents,

And then said nothing more than their name “From the XYZ Church”

It would be leading the news right now.

only three things can happen and two of them are bad. whoever made that call should be fired, imo.

“It wasn’t just that the pass play was a bad call, it was a pass play over the middle that’s clogged with all kinds of players from both sides.”

Pete Carroll on the radio said it was supposed to be a run play but the Pats didn’t fall for the wide receivers so they jammed up the middle. Lynch would have been down for a loss with two guys coming in on-touched.

So it was a “throw-away” pass play. But to throw it in the middle like that? Crazy. But I guess the receivers were all close in so they didn’t have other options? But a high throw-away pass to Clay Matthews in the corner of the end-zone would have perhaps made sense if they didn’t think they could run it.

Really sad to see.

And even sadder was the punches thrown.

It was really, really bad music.

I sort of liked the floor effects at the start, and I definitely liked the fireworks, but the music talent was just pitiful ;/

Great, great game though! I truly enjoyed watching that!

Thanks for the info. I'm looking forward to hearing more about this tomorrow.

I'm afraid that Butler's jumping the route is going to be overlooked. It was a very heady and athletic play for a rookie.

Whoever plans the talent for those halftime shows needs to be replaced. Katy Perry?

What about The Hold Steady or Parquet Courts?

‘79 Windy?

Yep. I remember it well. My first kid was born that year, and Madonna was (nominally) an R&B singer. Lots of folks might be unaware of it, but that's the genre where she made her first mark.

She was excellent in those days, too. Not long afterwards, she drifted in the direction of disco, then went full pop. I thought it was a real waste of talent at the time.

Is Butler the guy that intercepted that last play? Pete was impressed by his play on that. Something to the effect of “We plan all of these things. We do it in practice, we do it in games. We see the matchups, and I called in to throw the ball. Most of the times it is caught or dropped. They made a great play on the ball.”

I just happened to catch this post, and “huh?”

Since when did she have anything before ‘83? Sure as heck noone ever heard of her.

OMG.........I didn’t even know ZerO was on! What a darn shame I missed him... Mr. WWW and I watched a whole movie right before the game started. Could NOT stand that #%*&@ guy with the sparkles on his cheeks and the pregame in total was awful. UGH. Can’t we keep the NFL masculine? Is that so much to ask?

I digress.
