And even sadder was the punches thrown.

Agree. That crap was completely uncalled for, though I do understand the pressure and anxiety the players must have been feeling at that moment. Still....

It seems like they just go for popular music whatever type performers, most of the time.

The ones I have enjoyed the most are classic rock themes.

Now I can’t say that I have heard of either of the two names you mentioned, but I do think going with less main stream talent would be better.

Personally, I would’a been happy with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators with Slash, but that’s just me :D

It was really, really bad music.

Tell me about it. I left the room to come get on the live thread and had to endure that awful cacophony while freeping.

I thought to myself, what a terrible statement that noise made about America.

Is Butler the guy that intercepted that last play?

Malcolm Butler. He won't be buying any of his own drinks for a while, at least here in New England.

Is Butler the guy that intercepted that last play?

Yup. He jumped the route and caught a bullet while taking a good hit. It was a great defensive play. He was choked up after the game.

I was sure all along the Pats would win. Anytime you got a player on your team named "the Gronk" its just a matter of showing up and then someone is gonna hand you the trophy when it is all done.

“I would have run Lynch.”

“But I died.”

Since when did she have anything before ‘83?

Your post made me stop and check, and Wikipedia says this:

"After performing in the music groups Breakfast Club and Emmy, she signed with Sire Records (an affiliate of Warner Bros. Records) in 1982 and released her self-titled debut album the following year."

I've got to track down the tune I heard in '79. I definitely remember her having a song that got a fair bit of rotation on the R&B stations in L.A.

That same article - or references - shows no action from BClub either. Don’t know. Never heard of her until “Borderline”.

Yep. Pats were famously at full health to start the game and suffered nary an injury. We lose two key players - Lane and Avril - on top of the other injuries and still nearly won.

In this case, it was enough. They got the kill. The MSM won and honesty lost. The Boston way, I suppose.

Goodell and Kraft are doubtless yucking it up.

Hawks are class act.

I enjoy bands; I despise entertainers.

When will Perry and her entourage do an ‘unplugged’?

Yup. The Pats played a great game, but they had to have the Hawks self deflate to win it.

The only positives that I get from that game:

It was a thriller.

I can now empathize with Packers fans.

At least I don’t have to watch Obama schmoozing with the Seahawks.

Congrats to NE.

One thing that should come up in the next couple of days is Belichick failing to use his time outs, when there were 50 seconds left with Seattle on the Patriots’ five yard line.

But that would have given Seattle time to realize they should just give the ball to Lynch!

Just like the Republicans: Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, or as F. Gump would say, ‘Stupid is that stupid does.’
