Sen. Marco Rubio is the latest potential presidential candidate to weigh in on the vaccination debate, coming out strongly in support of vaccinating children.
"Absolutely, all children in America should be vaccinated," the Florida Republicans told reporters Tuesday. "Unless their immune (system is) suppressed, obviously, for medical exceptions, but I believe that all children, as is the law in most states in this country, before they can even attend school, have to be vaccinated for a certain panel."
Rubio also came out against those who say vaccines are connected to autism, saying,"There is absolutely no medical science or data what so ever that links those vaccinations to onset of autism or anything of that nature."
Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal also released a statement, saying there is "a lot of fear mongering" over the issue.
"Personally, I would not send my kids to a school that did not require vaccinations. Vaccinations are important. I urge every parent to get them. Every one," Jindal said.

And Hillary's "It Takes A Village" becomes a conservative reality by popular demand.
The Republic has fallen too far for even some here. You’ll see the same on the (anti) Libertarian threads, or when ‘discussing’ SS/Medicare (they ‘paid’, you understand), etc.
Are vaccines good? Yes. Are they the cure? No.
What/which should be mandatory, and why?
How are they to be administered?
What are to become of those that refuse (for any reason)?
Or breath air. In my estimation dihydrogen monoxide should be banned because it kills either by immersion, drinking or breathing it ...
Tongue in cheek statement ....
;-)
Ya gotta be careful with those......
Like Obamacare. Before it was passed I used to tell people that the government won’t just say you have to have health care. For it to have any meaning they will have to create minimum guidelines or it is irrelevant. I got a lot of “deer in the headlights” looks from some people.
I told them, “look, what if I start selling people “$200,000 deductible” insurance for a dollar amonth and it only covers throat cancer? Can they then tell the fedgov that they have health care insurance?
And as with everything government mandated, the devil is in the details, and never so literally.
“It takes a village” (communism) is winning when many of the readers of a strongly conservative website advocate for government coerced vaccines on families that have concerns/objections...;-(
The reason the MSM is pushing this is that they want to distract from the real reason there has been a sudden jump in measles .... namely, the influx of thousands of illegals who are not screened at the boarder and who are allowed to carry their third world diseases into the American population.
Remember that in 2000, measles was considered eradicated in the US. There has been little change in the vaccination rate from 2000 to 2014. So why all of a sudden do we have the jump? Open boarders is the only major policy change since then and that is OBAMA’s fault. But the MSM does not want to lay that at his feet.
Yep ... don’t I know it ... :)
Ditto’s ....
Not always. I did not receive the small pox vaccine as a child because the risk for contracting small pox (for me) was higher from the vaccine than from not getting vaccinated. My parents looked at the facts, consulted with the doctors and made the choice not to get me vaccinated. Oh, by the way, my mom was an RN. I did eventually did get the small pox vaccine as an adult but only after my childhood skin condition went away.
Is there a risk to the child that is not vaccinated - certainly. But sometimes the risk of receiving the vaccination is higher.
There is a simple answer. Require each child who is attending school that does not receive one of the RECOMMENDED vaccinations to have a doctor provide a letter stating that the child is free from the disease(s) protected against and that the risks have been discussed with the parents.
DING...DING...DING....
WINNER!
Your opinion is in direct contradiction to the CDC:

>>Do you actually believe in freedom or do you believe the MSM? <<
Straw man.
>>And why do you think the government should dictate how someone raises their children? Public safety? Rot. If vaccines really work then those vaccinated are safe and you’re simply being a control freak.<<
They do work and your assertion is sans argumentation of any kind.
Vaccines work and have social benefits. Arguing against them is like 9/11 truthers.
Freedom.
Forced medical treatment. It’s the exact opposite of freedom. Mengele practiced forced medical treatment.
It is barbaric.
It goes back to - was it Franklin? - saying anyone who chooses safety over freedom receives and deserves NEITHER.
If you choose against dog treats made in China for your pooch, why would I want vaccines made in China injected into my baby’s bloodstream?
bump
Ok, I love you. Sanity when I felt I was drowning.
I can’t handle this debate. It’s like I’m driving the wrong way on the freeway. Sheesh. FREEDOM. Freedom Uber alles. Don’t these guys get it???
