So are you suggesting they sell them a cake that’s been spit on with squiggly decorations all over them?

I'm suggesting the sales pitch would probably squelch the desire for a purchase without a refusal to sell.

They aren't worried about opening up a can of worms.

This kind of activism will be used against conservatives, Christians, and other traditionalists. It won't be used against liberals, Muslims, atheists, or homosexuals.

After all, the people populating the courts are mostly members of that team. It would be like expecting Obama to come out against Islamists.

OK, good point. I suspect the real reason has more to do with left wing activist politics than anything else. I would not be at all surprised if the same commission in Oregon found no reason whatsoever that a bakery owned by someone they favored couldn’t turn down whatever customer they wanted to.
