This is a story with various reports flying from multiple directions and it’s hard to get a grasp on exactly what’s happening. What we know at the moment is that ISIS is claiming it has seized control of the al-Asad air base in the Ramadi area of Iraq. According to multiple twitter feeds the Iraqi army has lost contact with its people inside the base. From what we can tell the 300 Marines are on location to train Iraqi military. The Pentagon is pushing back on these initial reports about al-Asad. I prefer to wait for reports from sources that I am more familiar with but, in the meantime, I say we offer them Obama in exchange.

Sadly, the press doesn’t report anything meaningful. I did not know about Bergdhal until until the exchange. There have been at least 15 incidents of service personnel capture in Iraq, all resulting in execution and hardly a news story. Heck, there is hardly anything about Yemen in the mainstream.

Obama just gave strict orders not to be awakened till 9 am tomorrow.
They could get through the wire, they could kill a lot of them. But there is no order or odds that would make them surrender to ISIS. Mark my words.
And even yet, ISIS has a record of savagery against weak units and defenseless people. They have no record of successfully assaulting the toughest grunts on earth in a defensive position.
ISIS is ISIS,, not the VC, not the disciplined Chinese or Japanese Army or the NVA.
300 marines would not be overrun by 3,000 of these goathumpers. Not happening.

obama is siding with the terrorists just as he did in Benghazi. He will leave those Marines to die and the corrupt news media will cover for him.
I sure hope Lord Foul and his foulups didn’t put three hundred Marines in jeopardy just so he could look like he had a pair. Because A. Everyone knows he has been equipping ISIS and B. No one would believe he had a pair even if he hung coconuts between his legs.
Only if Obama ordered them to surrender would this happen.
