CBP officers at the Douglas port of entry seized 300 rounds of ammunition that was taped to the body of a man who was crossing into Mexico.
Officers sent the 27-year-old man for further questioning on Feb. 10 as he attempted to cross into Mexico, according to a Customs and Border Protection news release.
Officers searched the man and found six boxes of 9mm ammunition that were in his waistband and taped to his thighs.
Officers seized the bullets and arrested the man.
2) "Military calibers" are banned in Mexico.
So where did he throw the gun? Looks like cheap Russian ammo, Tula. You’d think it would at least be a Mexican brand.
YEOWCH!! Rip that puppy off in one take!
"...if they found his wife, they would have recovered a Volkswagen beetle"
(....and then they let him go.....)??
I expected something like “Walk Like an Egyptian”.
"Let's see here I may have to put mah cuttin' torch to 'em so stand veeery still."
That would make for a very slow reload...
He’s lucky it was our border patrol that picked him up, and not the Mexicans, if the treatment Tahmoresee got is any guide.
Apparently it’s only a crime when the ATF isn’t involved.
I’m confused. Our Customs and Border Patrol agents searched him as he was LEAVING the country? I’ve never been searched leaving a country, only when entering.

TUCSON, AZ (AP) -
A Mexican man has been arrested after authorities reportedly found 300 rounds of ammunition taped to his body as he was trying to cross the Arizona border.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials say 27-year-old Yanael Jimenez of Agua Prieta, Sonora, was taken into custody Tuesday at the Douglas port of entry.
They say Jimenez was headed back to Mexico and was searched.
CBP officers say they found six boxes of 9mm ammunition that were in his waistband and taped to his thighs.
Officers seized the bullets and turned Jimenez over to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
It was unclear Wednesday if Jimenez has a lawyer.

He should have claimed that he was working for Fast and Furious and they would have had to just let him go.

Looks like Tula brand Russian ammo.
..what you said... for him and dozens of his immediate family members.
Hmm, ammo is usually being smuggled south.
