This is so embarrassing. They took the town in several days and there’s no mention of any effort to drive them out of it.
There is a point to be made that there are a billion muzzies over there and they’re letting 50k of them go around burning people. At some point they have to defend themselves, assuming they’re not all sympathizers to the isis cause.
If you believe as I do, that the current battles are about solidifying the borders of the Kurdish region, Kirkuk has been ceded to ISIL. It is apparently beyond the desired Kurdish boundary.
The city is within the new Sunni controlled region that is neither Kurd nor Shia. Therefore, neither the Peshmerga nor the Shia militia will fight for it.
The first thought must be that Iraq is no more. The nation was split asunder into three. Kurd, Sunni/Isil and Shia
