WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP) — Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, believes that the Obama administration is “counterfeiting immigration documents” under the president’s immigration plan.
Speaking to Fox News following a federal judge’s decision to temporarily halt President Barack Obama’s executive action on immigration, the potential Republican presidential contender said the commander in chief is ignoring federal law.
“One of the things it points out is the president has claimed, rather absurdly, that the basis of his authority is ‘prosecutorial discretion.’ That he’s simply choosing not to prosecute 4.5 million people here illegally,” Cruz told Fox News. “But what the district court concluded, quite rightly, is they’re doing far more than that. The administration is printing work authorizations. It is affirmatively acting in contravention of federal law. Basically, what its doing is counterfeiting immigration documents, because the work authorizations its printing are directly contrary to the text of federal law. It is dangerous when the president ignores federal law.”
U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen’s decision late Monday puts on hold Obama’s orders that could spare from deportation as many as 5 million people who are in the U.S. illegally.
In a memorandum accompanying his order, Hanen said the lawsuit should go forward and that the states would “suffer irreparable harm in this case” without a preliminary injunction.
“The genie would be impossible to put back into the bottle,” he wrote, adding that he agreed that legalizing the presence of millions of people is a “virtually irreversible” action.

If they attack Cruz’s illegibility, then obama should still have to disclose all he has hidden.

AND, if those cards get mailed out, or distributed, and employer hires based on them, $10 grand fine for them, too, for accepting fraudulent work permits.
AND, if any tax preparers have returns on hold for the pending illegals’ SSNs cards, that’s mail fraud, too.
Too bad the GOP Senate leadership lacks the patriotism of this judge.

Convince Walker to side with the citizens. I’m willing to listen if he is willing to tell the Chamber of Cheap Labor to bugger off.

If Walker were concerned, he would have A) Joined the States in the lawsuit and B) Commented on Hanen’s ruling today, which he hasn’t.

Why didn’t WI join the 26 other states to stop King Hussein?
Because WI has strong trade with Mexico. That’s why Walker is trying to build a consulate there. And why did he table Right To Work when his Statehouse said they had the votes to pass it? Was he planning on a new half a million Dreamers moving in and didn’t want to agitate the Unions THAT bad?

I lived in WI 1960-1970. You couldn’t find a Spanish speaker. I’m curious when the invasion reached them.
Virgina, where I live now, didn’t see the influx of illegal aliens until the late 90’s. Clinton’s inadequate enforcement gave way to GWB’s almost non-existant enforcement and the numbers soared.
Now instead of just non-enforcement we have the government we are paying for HELPING Fraudulently Documented Foreigners invade our country.
Never would have thought an American President would be shielding foreign nationals from federal laws. A citizen would be jailed for some of them.

I think it was Andrew Jackson after the supreme Court ruled that his forced removal od the five civilized Tribes to Oklahoma said (paraphrasing) “They made their decision, now let them enforce it.”

The hologram ID cards are made to a very detailed spec. If they don’t have the correct security features, then no federal or state agency or service anywhere in the USA will accept them.
If Obama’s people have found an offshore source to produce the hologram IDs to spec, then they must be distributed by a federal agency. It would be easy to conduct a sting operation to catch any federal employees or contractors distributing the cards. The postal service would also not be allowed to deliver them.
AGs of various states should be planning and preparing to conduct sting operations. If anyone is caught it needs to go viral to let any other persons considering participation that they will go to prison.
One would hope that Jeh Johnson and others would not carry out a covert operation to counterfeit the IDs. But as Ronald Reagan once said “Trust But Verify”.
