WASHINGTON — The Obama administration refuses to back Egypt’s attacks against the Islamic State (ISIS, ISIL), which were launched after the jihadist group savagely beheaded 21 Egyptian Christians.
On Wednesday, a reporter asked Rear Adm. John Kirby, the outgoing Pentagon press secretary, “Do you support Egypt’s right to bomb ISIS targets in the wake of the Christian Coptics being killed?”
“We aren’t taking a position here in the Pentagon on these recent strikes by Egypt…we weren’t notified ahead of time. We didn’t participate or support them in any way, and we’re not taking a position on it,” said the press secretary in responding.
“We are neither condemning nor condoning” the Egyptian attacks against ISIS, an anonymous Obama administration official told The Daily Beast.
Kirby highlighted rifts in the relationship between the U.S and its longtime ally Egypt, which he called “complicated.”
The strained relations stem from “political developments” in Egypt that the Obama administration deems troubling.

Seems our relationships with EVERY country is now “complicated”.

We need to fire everybody in this administration, everyone who supported it, those who hid the truth about this administration and fill that cleaned house with competent, patriotic people.

Egypt actually got mad when some of the their citizens were slaughtered and tried to do something about it. Of course this upset the golfer-in-chief, who is still ticked that the Islamic Brotherhood (aka Hamas) isn’t in charge in Egypt.
I’d like to see a joint effort by Egypt, Israel, and Jordan.
"Political Developments" meaning they didn't like the fact that el-Sisi disrupted O's plans on adding Egypt to his caliphate.
Egypt is no longer run by Obama’s butt buddies the Muslim Brotherhood so he’s not supporting the Egyptian governments action against ISIS.Obama’s a spoiled rotten egotistical maniac.
They didn’t participate in Ferguson or the St. Trayvon fiascos either but they sure as hell took a position on those incidents.
This pathetic administration only takes a position when it furthers it’s agenda....be it foreign or domestic.

If I were a foreign leader, I would NOT form an alliance with the U.S. because of its four year election cycle resulting in schizophrenic policy shifts and betrayals. Case and point, Barry Soetoro.
When Egypt is trying protecting Christians but the US will not back them?...we got a big problem
Even Jordan, which is running out of ammo, will not be resupplied. Ample opportunities for the Russians to make some major arms deals.

Fire every clerk and game warden who blocked access to US parks and tourist areas during the recent government shutdown.
