Big red flags go up for me every time a politician wants to switch their beliefs while running for a higher office.
Shape up quickly or give me my money back!
Amnesty wrong!
Open borders wrong!
Not emptying America out of ALL illegals is wrong!
Uh oh, flip-flop

“Well when events change, I change my mind. What do you do?”
— I believe Robert Samuelson said that.
“Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker said Sunday that his “view has changed” on immigration and he no longer supports reforms that would allow undocumented immigrants to remain in the United States. “
Wonderful. I always believe it when a politician changes his stance right before deciding to run for president. /s
Heck, it’s hard enough to get them to stick to what they say even when they’ve said it for decades. DC corrupts. If they go in wishy washy, they will turn on us in a heartbeat.
I’m voting Cruz.
Walker is on a slippery slope if he flip flops on amnesty which I always thought he was for. Conservatives will bail on him.
- Never proposed or signed legislation giving illegals licenses to drive
- Never proposed or signed legislation giving illegals IDs to vote
- Never proposed or signed legislation giving in-state tuition benefits to illegals
- Never proposed or signed legislation promoting sanctuary cities
Past statements vs. being involved in actual, pending, and passed legislation on a federal issue.
Even McCain is against amnesty during elections. Just ask him.
With 90 million people not working, immigration should be at nearly zero.
Bravo Scott Walker!
I don't criticize Walker for this crucial change.
I applaud and support it.
I will only endorse a candidate who opposes amnesty for illegal aliens (no matter what amnesty is called).
.
I would like to see other potential GOP candidates make the same statements.
THE BOY IS CONFUSED...
Great another confused candidate.. like Myth Romney..
And ALL members of Congress, both houses, both parties..
except for a very few.. (single digits 1 or 2 percent)
No wonder Congress is in chaos and the President is a Traitor..
So far, NO pitchforks and firebrands.. coming for Washington Frankenstein.. or is it Steen..

In 2013 Walker was asked about “path to citizenship” and he said at the time that that made sense..
On FOXNEWS today when he was asked about his 2013 AMNESTY stance he agreed he had said that back then because that’s what he believed then, but now he has changed his mind..
Yeah doin the Willard Stance Dance on the issues...
No thanks ...
I will not be voting for this illegal alien lover/enabler..
Walker, Walker—pants on fire!
Every pro-amnesty pol says he’s for amnesty.
E-verify and border security aren’t relevant to his stated positions of the last two years: immediate legalization, eventual citizenship, and virtual open borders enabling “anyone from Mexico or any other country” to come here so easily they’ll have no incentive to come in illegally.
WTG!!!
I shall REPEAT what I said earlier.
In 2006, Walker basically wasn’t paying attention, which is a bad sign for starters, but recoverable. BUT THEN, he felt he had to take a side. The BASE was SCREAMING AT BUSH to NOT agree to Amnesty, while the Bush and the DEMOCRATS wanted it really bad.
Walker sided with Bush and the Democrats. It will be difficult to trust him on future issues if his instincts ARE NOT WITH THE BASE.
How can anyone maintain a position on anything when the government realeases faulty statistics on everything of importance.
I think the key is that the GOP wants “comprehensive immigration reform”, AKA legalize the illegals and pretend to get tough on enforcement.
The 2016 GOP nomination will go to someone who supports it, whether they admit to it or not. If a candidate campaigns against it, and is elected, they’ll suddenly discover how bad the problem is after they assume office, and flip-flop on it.
The GOP likes power more than it values the law, and will pander to hispanics, hoping that they will be to the GOP as blacks are to the Democrats.
Unfortunately, this is short-sighted, and will result in America turning into a third-world cesspool.
Yep, biggest reason NOT to jump on the bandwagon.
I am staying with Cruz as my pick. Hopefully I am not throwing my saddle on a wind broke pony.
Shades of Mitt. I’m just not into the guy. Sorry.
Good move. But you won’t move back, will you Scott?
