My Berlin reference was not in the context of lives lost. But I am certainly not against the total decimation of its staff with respect to employment.
From the lowest mail room clerk right on up to those rabid management ideologues that will actually sit in front of Congress and lie, are complicit in the theft of livelihoods, dreams, hopes and treasure each hard working American citizen has. They don’t give a rat’s patooty what damage they collectively wreak on citizens - as long as they have their jobs, their pensions and their bonuses.
They’d be the first 89,000 I’d like to see on the unemployment line. Follow that up with the DHS.

P.S. Now this sounds like a tall order. What, suffer for people who don’t deserve it instead of throwing them on their own fates? It seems to rub against the very grain of what a “good conservative” does.
But we have to consider what kind of milieu produced this idea of “good conservative.” This might be how to keep the ship steady as she goes in good repair in calm water with a competent crew. When the ship is about to break up and it is storming like all hell and half the crew knows nothing what they are about, this is not the time to do anything but get the SOS shouted out on as many radio frequencies as possible while screaming for everyone to bail.
And also, strangely enough, this is what God blesses. Because we all were in trouble from before our birth. Nobody could earn his or her way to the grace of God. It is a moment of truth for everybody. The masks are gone. Will we present our distress before the Lord and confess our pride is less than trash and that we are goners without His immediate help? The Lord will keep escalating the troubles until we are willing to do this.
Democrats are now claiming that the “state exchanges” wording was just a common scrivener’s error. Gee. Maybe one of them should have read the bill, huh?
The judgment is coming because America is too proud to beg for mercy. God is not being the meanie here, believe it or not. The people are.

Yes, that was a disaster for the Germans. More lives lost there than at Hiroshima, IIRC. I don’t really want to kill them. I just want them to have the same unease, uncertainty, fear and anxiety the rest of us citizens have.

You might see some TP like event where some agitator yells "Gun" and another one (hidden) fires into the crowd or worse, into LE there to monitor the event, and then the match gets lit.
