It seems like not a day goes by without me reading about some new absurdity. I ran across an article written by some left-wing lunatic who purports to be an English teacher and who is part of what she calls the “social justice movement”. She writes for a blog called Everyday Feminist. She claims that demanding that everyone speak proper English grammar is “grammar snobbery” and is oppressive and racist. Why is it oppressive and racist? Because the dictionary was written by a white supremacist, heteropatriarchal system:

I’m sure this will go over good in a place like, say, NASA. I believe that when discussing such things as rocket propulsion, gravity gradients, and translating specific operational instructions to the crew of the ISS, it would be racist to use specific, precise grammar to get your thought across to others.
I kind of like it. Never before have people so clearly self labeled; they cover themselves with tattoos and piercings, dress in clownish clothing, and speak unintelligibly. Essentially they are reverting to a primitive state. It makes it easier to determine who has a head on their shoulders.
Why not try farting and tap-dancing to get your message across?
Sounds like a lot of Freepers here who complain about the "Grammar Nazis."
But seriously, this article is further evidence that attending the moron factories formerly known as "college" is an absolute waste of time and money, unless you are a STEM major, and your classes aren't taught by professors/teaching assistants who teach that man-made global warming has been proven by science.

I am just thankful as a father of a daughter, mother of three girls, married 11 years to a decent man, both of them who regularly strive to use their native language to its fullest potential.
I am even more thankful that I didn’t have to waste untold tens of thousands of dollars on an education for a daughter who doesn’t seem to have done anything worthwhile save blog, YouTube and feminize her way through her yet unfinished life. I won’t even pretend to guess at what sort of males might be in her life.
The one thing I wish I could tell her is that ‘words mean things’. And that a person who has complete command of the language has the world at her/his feet. It is not so with the users and proponents of the short-speak and tribe language she is trying to validate.

Pay close attention to the ‘ticker’ on all your local & nationwide news shows. The grammar, the spelling & the general sentence structure is horrid.
I live in the Pacific time zone, so by the time I see the ABC Good Morning America telecast, it is off the air. They even had one item last week that didn’t have a noun in the sentence. Made no sense at all.
I call the local Reno station all the time with their spelling errors.
Disgusts me that they are even paying someone to prepare these stupid remarks.

Ever heard this one? “I can have that?”..........means you have something they do not have and they want it. Happened in my wife’s office recently. A new black employee caught one of my wife’s coworkers off guard (as they tend to like to do). Referring to an unopened soft drink she had on her desk used the “I can have that?” question. Surprised, the coworker obliged. The black woman took it with no offer of repayment or replacement of the drink, and never did. So if that question is ever posed to you my suggestion is that the answer is NO you cannot (with a smile of course). They take advantage if they can.........been my experience anyway.

There are more whites and all people are dreadfully ignorant of rules of grammar so how can criticizing bad grammar be racist. Obama uses bad grammar but so did George Bush. The only two who seem to understand the rules of usage in English are Thomas Sowell, George Will, and Charles Krauthammer.
