David Koch, the big money political donor and liberal boogeyman, has agreed to sign onto to an amicus brief supporting same-sex marriage at the Supreme Court, the Washington Free Beacon reported.

The brief he will reportedly sign in DeBoer v. Snyder, a case that could afford same-sex couples a constitutional right to marry, will host a number of other prominent conservative signatories, including retired Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal, former Reagan White House chief of staff Ken Duberstein and former Republican National Committee chairman Ken Mehlman. News of the brief was first reported Tuesday by The Washington Post.

Someone needs to learn that libertarian and libertine are distinct words... especially when the latter are bent on making everyone else see things they way they do.

”… a case that could afford same-sex couples a constitutional right to marry, ..."

Constitutional rights are established by the states amending the Constitution to expressly protect a right, not by activist justices “amending” PC rights to the Constitution from the bench.

Same sex marriage at the Supreme Court?

What's going on? Does Sotomayor want to marry Kagen, or are Breyer and Roberts looking to tie the knot?

For the life of me, I don’t understand how any male (other than a homosexual) could approve of this. What’s going on with our men? Is political correctness so powerful that men are afraid to tell the truth? Unbelievable.

Pragmatism. They consider the issue a distraction from more important issues, and they see this as the simplest way to make it go away so that they can get people to focus on what *THEY* consider more important.

Once again, Libertarians are eager to undermine the social system that also protects their money. They don't seem to "get" that if you destroy it, the financial system will also collapse.

You want government to regulate sex?

Koch brothers are far more libertarian than conservative, period.

Their group, Americans for Prosperity have supported amnesty to continue giving their companies cheap labor.

There are times when some conservative principles cross libertarian philosophy, i.e. private property, but most times their libertarian business views come at cross purposes with conservative goals.

The Kochs are fine, generous people but definitely not in line with most conservative desires

” Their group, Americans for Prosperity have supported amnesty to continue giving their companies cheap labor.”

The NYC Koch bro just paid 54 million for a townhouse there, so it isn’t likely 2 illegal immigrant drug dealers will be able to move in next door to him.

bottom line is that supporting a so called conservative is foolish unless the conservative is also socially conservative.

100% agree.

You want government to regulate sex?

D@mn sure do. We are feeding a massive army of welfare children who grow up to be thugs and criminals because we stopped regulating sex.

Once again, Libertarians are for all sorts of "Freedom" so long as other people have to pay the bills for it.

Government fully supports SEX aka gay marriage. They turned from regulating it to forcing it on others. Just like with pot, watch people sue because they have been discriminated for jobs.

Such as how? Any ways that the libertarians of Old Sarge's acquaintance want to end?

SEX aka gay marriage

"Gay" "marriage" is not what sex means to me - nor, I'd venture to guess, to Old Sarge.

feelin’ good, for the man
Superfly, here i stand
