Cosby sexually assaulted me I didn’t tell because I didn’t want to let black America down
Washington Post ^ | March 6, 2015 | Jewel Allison

Like many of the women who say they were assaulted by Bill Cosby, it took me two decades to gain the courage to reveal it publicly. His accusers – mostly white, so far – have faced retaliation, humiliation, and skepticism by coming forward. As an African-American woman, I felt the stakes for me were even higher. Historic images of black men being vilified en masse as sexually violent sent chills through my body. Telling my story wouldn’t only help bring down Cosby; I feared it would undermine the entire African-American community.

“All of them are lying?
All, probably by now, 6 or more dozen?”

I’d estimate he’s met at minimum 3000 aspiring actresses during his long career that can prove they were in the same room. 2% lying for a payday while the iron is hot is not a stretch at all.

Do rapists rape the majority of women they know or just small percentages?

Is there anyone not accusing him of sexual assault?

I went to one of his shows back in the early 70s along with a thousand other people, (he was funny), but now I'm wondering if I was assaulted too!

And I was not even a hot young chick, although my date that night sure as hell was.

Should I check with a lawyer? ;~))

Certainly possible. It's common knowledge that Cosby's worth many, many,*many* millions.Hell,*I've* even considered claiming that he diddled me.

Bottom line...it's highly unlikely that convincing evidence of guilt will ever be presented so no *reasonable* person will ever be able to be *certain* of his guilt or innocence.

But that doesn't mean that Cosby's bank account will be noticeably lighter in the future.

I let race trump rape.
Don't feel that bad, Jewel Allison. Your transgression pales in comparison to those stupid black Republicans who voted for Obama and thus let race triumph principle.

I see... Cos raped her ass probably multiple times.. BUT she’s worried about black men being seen as thuggs.. rapists, and worse.. and the Cos legacy being tarnished..

Could be her daddy flew the coup like almost all black people male or female.. unless he stuck around to abuse her..

What a mess the black community is.. really it’s a latrine.. except in very rare instances..

“Nobody wants to be the one that sends a black man to prison.”

I don’t know about that; think of all the juries that have sent them to prison, and how many times a single black juror could have refused to find them guilty. Black woman (especially middle-aged and older - often the targets of the rapes/robberies/murders) are terrified of young black men.

My statement is based on talking to other blacks in other forums. They really want young black men to succeed in life and they don’t want any convictions to be a permanent mark on their life, preventing them from becoming something. Because of this, there is a greater tolerance for the wrong doings by young men there than there probably is in the white community.

That does not mean that blacks will necessarily free young black men in trial, if the evidence is strong enough. But it does mean that charging young black men with crimes when they’ve done wrong in their communities is not always the utmost priority all the time.

I see (and understand). I’ve seen the recent discussions about employers asking about criminal records, and in my experience lack of employment goes deeper than that (more related to job skills - the criminal records seem too convenient a scapegoat).

From a potential employer’s standpoint, the first time someone with a violent crime in their background beats someone senseless (even if they are justified in administering the beating) the employer will be sued - and lose - for not doing their “due diligence”.

When did Cosby ever have time to do things like being in a TV show?

The slip-and-fall lawyers are scouring the country for women who will agree to charge Cosby with some kind of assault. And lots of women are developing dollar signs in their eyes.

Bingo. And yet we're to believe mega-star Bill Cosby couldn't get any without resorting to drugs and rape ? Yeah, right !

I'll pretend to take her story at face value.

She has spent a long time thinking about racial grievance. Has she thought at all about the women who might have been raped or who were raped because she didn't file a police complaint? Was she willing to sacrifice them for the cause?

If she is telling the truth, the obvious answer is yes. What she so clearly is telling us is her racism trumps everything, truth, justice, the safety of other women. Nothing matters to her more than putting the interests of black people above all others. You cannot get more racist than that.
