Nigerian militant group Boko Haram has pledged allegiance to Islamic State (IS), according to an audio statement.

The message, which could not immediately be verified, was posted on Boko Haram's Twitter account and appeared to be by the group's leader. Boko Haram began a military campaign to impose Islamic rule in northern Nigeria in 2009. The conflict has since spread to neighbouring states.

The problem with Iraq was that Bush didn’t follow through, as usual. He let them enshrine Islam in their constitution and didn’t impose a serious occupation. And then Obama undid everything.

Iraq had a relatively educated populace, the West had many friends, and Saddam was a basically secular dictator interested in imposing his version of Iraqi nationalism, meaning that some of the people he killed were in fact Islamist nut jobs interested in turning Iraq into a part of the new caliphate (whatever they thought it was). That is, we could have tapped into his capable people, imposed the peace, and restructured it.

But we blew it because of the pro-Islamic left, since Bush was a guy who couldn’t even stand up to his own shadow.

Since al Qaeda’s Zarqawi, founder of AQ in Iraq with Saddam’s General al Dhouri, was in Iraq before the US invasion, the wheels were already in motion.

"You know, of course, that the FX “ARCHER” series on cable is built up around a clandestine agency that, by strange coincidence, carries the acronym of “ISIS”, but supposedly acts much like the “Torchwood” agency, a spinoff of BBC’s “Dr. Who”.

Seems like I heard the writers /producers of Archer actually thought about changing the name of the agency. Not familiar with 'Torchwood' Not a big fan of Dr Who TV shows, I read a dozen or two of the books back in the 70s and enjoyed them, but the TV show; old and modern seem poorly produced, poorly acted, and boringly written.

Nice thing about Nigeria, it has a completely ruthless response to stuff. Sure, they may be semi-competent, but over time, they’ll get it done.

Well. The sound of silence coming from the Bush admin up until Rove is deafening. Almost makes a man think that a certain someone with connections to Iran, and islamic leaders was allowed to become President.

This is very bad. ISIS spreads its message through FORCE.

That means, that everywhere ISIS goes the goal is to wreak chaos. They take away everything everyone has through violence, murder, rape, and death. Then the local populations have no where else to turn but ISIS. When there is only one option for survival, ISIS grows. Take into account that many muslims actually believe in fundamental islam.

With kookoo harem joining them it just adds to their influence with other fundamentalist islamic groups. Looks like the plan to establish a new caliphate is going strong. All under the banner of ISIS, expect ISIS to gain more ground, become bigger, and execute bigger and more terrible terrorist attacks in the Middle East, and Europe. Because we all know that world leaders are not serious about taking care of this problem, or it would be taken care of months ago. Now it may be too late.

Think of this, if things spiral into insanity even more, then much of the Middle East will come together under the banner of ISIS is a disaster that cannot be allowed to come to fruition. At all cost. If to stop ISIS in Iraq, Syria, and now Lybia it takes all three countries becoming a glass parking lot irradiated for decades then that is the cost we have to pay. A terrorist state with 90% of the ME’s resources will bring the world to its knees. It will be fight or die. What happens when a country with nuclear weapons becomes sympathetic to ISIS and the caliphate?

Look for Damascus to be destroyed, soon. This is it folks. Likely not even 2 decades left.

What I do not understand is how leaders of Western civilizations don’t see the threat of a fully militarized fundamental islamic ME. It would be DISASTROUS. If Saudi Arabia fell to ISIS. The wackos certainly would not allow us to drill at home to support a survival war. ISIS certainly would shut off the oil, and we wouldn’t be able to fuel our armies. This is insanity.

As Bibi pointed out the other day, is that Iran and ISIS want the same thing, they only disagree on who is in charge. As long as ISIS and Boko Haram were unjoined that led to competition for resources. An alliance means greater support between them.

Libyan arms funding the caliphate.

Keep this in mind: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton opposed designating Boko Haram as a Foreign Terrorist Organization. They killed 11000 people in 2014 and have now pledged allegiance to the Islamic State.

That is what is known as UNFIT FOR COMMAND
