Forty-seven U.S. Senators have released an open letter to the Iranian government warning that any nuclear deal signed by President Barack Obama could be revoked by a subsequent U.S. president unless it is ratified by the Senate. The letter, while addressed to the “Leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” is really a warning to Obama not to bypass Congress.

“Anyone have any faith that this president will actually follow the law?”

I have as much faith that this resident will follow the law, as Iran will follow the treaty.

Wow - that sounds almost ballsy.

Why can’t they be that principled when it comes to the rest of Obama’s fascist agenda?

That’s the problem. They get to NOT break the treaty by developing their nuclear weapons. That’s the ploy.

Forty-seven U.S. Senators have released an open letter to the Iranian government

Only 47 of them? Was this a bi-partisan letter, or only one from 47 Republicans? Why isn't this number closer to 100, as opposed to only 47? Do they all need a refresher course on who is Constitutionally-bound to ratify treaties with foreign nations?

"Why isn't this number closer to 100, as opposed to only 47?"

The traitors in the U.S. Senate probably didn't want to sign it.

The end game is still the same- Iran has a nuclear weapon or tries for nuclear weapon and the mideast explodes.

I read the report elsewhere, but it stated that the agreement wouldn’t last....after Obozo’s out of office...

I thunk to myseff....when he’s outta office? So, what about passing legislation to nullify the agreement while he’s in office?

Good grief.

Any senator that would allow Iran to get a nuclear weapon should be considered a traitor worthy of hanging. They get nukes and it will be like watching that old movie called Firestarter when the kid realizes what mayhem and destruction they are capable of. One thing you can bet on - they will use it first against “little Satan” (Istael) then against the “Great Satan” (U,S.) next. Not that we or they are of course but that’s the ploy that will be used by Satan to finally achieve his goal of killing all Christians, at least that appears to be the plan but it will fail.

Wouldn't this "Deal" with Iran be a TREATY?

And wouldn't it thus require ratification by the United States Senate?

Since when does the President get to make such international "deals" unilaterally?

If only the coming explosion could be contained to the ME. Their #1 target is Israel, but the US is almost tied for first place.

You posit power that is not existent

No such legislation could pass, or for that matter, even reach the Senate floor. The 60 votes needed to bring the vote apparently do not exist
